There is no "outside" adjustment.
This involves getting inside - to the Timing Belt and checking the Timing Marks and Belt.

If there is a Mitsubishi dealer in your area, call/go to them, and ask for the parts department. As this vehicle is less than 10 years old, the parts department will have, or will be able to order, the under-hood adhesive service label which has the printed accessory belt diagram on it. This is usually about 10 bucks.

If you buy your belt from Autozone the belt routing is on the package,If you already bought the belt you could always buy one from AutoZone and then return it after you use the routing.

Its located on the right [ timing belt ] end or the engine,adjacent to the crankshaft timing belt sprocket.......
