I have a 1992 Lexus LS 400 with traction control and a mechanic said the traction control is causing the front brakes to grab at all times and turning the traction control off doesn't work, I also removed the fuse and that doesn't seem to work can I disconnect the module under the hood and how would I do that ?

Traction control is for control of the traction of the drive tires
Tale it to a professional brake shop for a proper diagnosis
grabbing brakes is more likely no brake pads and / or damaged rotor discs

www.alldata.com - it's $25 for a year-long subscription and gives you troubleshooting charts, parts diagrams, exploded diagrams of every system on the car, etc - it's an online factory service manual. Excellent resource that is well worth the small cost.

SOURCE: 1992 LS 400 Lexus. Car wouldn't start. New

remove black plastic relay cover in plastic underhood fuse box and activate relay9006980.jpg with a very small screwdriver and ignition on. If starts, obviously the starter is fine, if not the starter is indeed bad and needs replacement so hold onto your ankles cuz it's gonna hurt.

SOURCE: 92 lexus ls 400 check engine and traction control light came on at the same time, 92 lexus ls 400.

the track off light will come everytime yhe check engine light comes on. this is normal. you need to have the check engine light checked first.you can go to your local parts house they will scan it for so you at least see what area you problem is in and then you can start from there. let me know lf you find out youe engine codes.

The traction lock light flashes on the dash panel on my 1993 Lexus LS 400 and the engine shuts off. It will crank up immediately after shutting off at times and some times it won't.

BEST TO GET VECHICLE CODE SCAN TO SEE WHAT CAUSING TRACTION LIGHT TO FLASH. YOU HAVE PROBLEM IN ECM AND TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM.

What does it mean when the drive & reverse indicator light or on at same time and car jerks like it loses pressure in a 1992 lexus ls400, also reverse ligts dont come on doing this issue

I have a 1992 LS 400 and twice it has not shifted out of second and I had instrument lights give false information and once it would not start. Long story short, all problems were caused by broken wires in the bundle by the left trunk hinge. My mechanic lengthened the broken wires and dressed the bundle away from the hinge. So far, so good. Remember the old computer adage, garbage in, garbage out ? This is true re: this car's computer.

Does the 1990 Lexus LS400 master cylinder come with traction control?

traction control is a separate system. If traction control or ABS is a problem they are taken out of the loop and the normal brakes still work. The master is for the brake system/ The ABS module and valve body and wheel sensors are your traction/antiskip system.

I just need to understand what traction control means. Do I need specific tires for specific conditions? I live in Minnesota and the tires seem to have no traction....although I am supposed to have...

traction control helps you keep better traction on wet roads and helps you maintain control of the car. no you dont have to have certain tires on the car for the traction control to work. it helps you drive better on wet roads and on snow etc.its built into alot of vehichles these days .
