please have the car scanned for trouble codes and report back. many parts stores (eg. autozone or advance) provide free scans.

Tighten up the gas cap.Since it came on right after you put gas in your car this is most likely what it is.After a number of cycles of the key the light should go out on its own.(Don't remember the number of times you have to cycle the key)

I put unleaded instead of regular gas in my 1999 Plymouth Neon and now the engine sounds like a stock car and extremely loud...is it the gas oris something wrong with the engine?

You can't put unleaded into a 1999 vehicle... you must have things confused. Some vehicles prefer high octane gasoline instead of regular. Using the wrong one (containing 10% ethanol can overheat and ruin the inside of some engines) Dual fuel engines can handle the ethanol.

Have a 2012 hyundai sonota and i pumped e85 into the tank last night, drove my car today now the check engine light is on. I don't think my car takes E85 but I didn't know that til after I p

If its running o.k. Than I would bet the check engine light is on because there are codes for system too lean. Burn off the tank of e-85 as soon as you can, than fill with regular unleaded. The light should go out after several drive cycles after everything has gone back to normal or you can swing by ou local parts store and see if they can clear the codes

I mistakenly put a regular gas in it when its an UNLEADED FUEL only model an automatic 1994 geo tracker

Hi!!
At the pump, when it says Regular, it means Regular Unleaded Gasoline, the one that says Super, is Super Unleaded Gasoline, the only difference between the two is the octane rating. Both will work just fine on your vehicle.

I just bought a 2006 Toyota Tundra with the 4.0 V-6. Some sites say use premium unleade, shile others say regular unleaded. Which should I use - an why? Thanks, John Fitch [email protected]

You can use which ever grade of gas you desire or can afford, but the premium will give you little better performance (more horsepower). Regular shouldn't cause engine ping, but if you do run regular and you do get a ping just add a bottle of octane booster to the next fill up.

What kind of gas should i use? I have a 2002 Saturn SC2--just bought it used and I forgot to ask what gas it takes--reg, prem?

Regular unleaded. Cars are designed to run on specific types of fuel and the fuel rating has to do with the temperature that the fuel ignites. The timing for saturn sc2's is set to run on unleaded. Premium will get you worse gas mileage, lower horse power, and possibly do damage to the engine by igniting at the wrong point during the cycle of the engine. As it says in the owners manual and on the gas clap, use unleaded.

I just bought it and need to no which gas is best for it out of the three types. and if i put regular gas in, will that break it!

when you open the gas flap to put gas in it should say "unleaded fuel only" or " premium unleaded fuel only". If it says premium only use premium. If it just says unleaded then you can use normal unleaded gas. But some stations have a lower grade unleaded gas. Use 88 octane or better.
