Question about 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette
If there is no noticeable coolant leak, there are 2 major causes of overheating #1-thermostat is bad, #2- fan clutch or in your case electric fan could not be working.

When oil mixed with cooling sys. can cause overheating blocking thermostat, check motor and transmission level at dipstick, if doesn't shows mixture(brown or rare color), then the problem isn't at head or engine, good luck

It's possible you have a blown head gasket. In that case, the heater core which is above the engine fills with exhaust and stops working. To verify this condition, check exhaust for excessive white smoke. If leak is still small, it's possible you won't see much. In that case have a shop check the radiator for hydrocarbons (exhaust). If the test shows any in cooling system, you definitely have a head gasket problem.
I'd also check the thermostat. Sometimes it can give similar symptom but more often than not this will trace back to the hg.

check the abs sensors common to hit or damage the wiring or knock connection loose when doing a brake job the traction control system[tcs] is tied into the abs system
