You left out the problem. All I know is something happens when warm or hot. All I can tell you is parts heat up and when they get old they fail to work properly. Sensors going bad will heat up and spike voltage to ECM and cause a stall. Overheating check your radiator for leaks or low coolant. Fill accordingly and run a few minutes with cap on loose to remove air. Air pockets in cooling lines causes car to overheat.

Have 1999 nissan qust runs fine when started but if you drive very far. it starts chugging and running rough. doesnt seem to get hot. but doesnt run well at all.

First check fuel pressure with engine cold, and hot at engine side of fuel filter. There shouldn't be any difference. If you get a significant pressure drop after running engine until warmed up, replace fuel filter and check results again. If that still doesn't help your fuel pump might be on the blink. This is assuming your car is in good tune(plugs, wires).

1993 ford ranger has a hard time starting when cold but once it warms up it runs good an the brake lights won't work unless the light switch is on

hi i had a 1994 ranger with the same problem everybody said change the coolent temp cencer so i did it didnt realy seem to help so then i thought and thought and i realized that mabey my starter is worn and doesnt have the whirl power to start it (even though the starter sounds fine doesnt mean its not worn) so i replaced it with a brand new one and it started every time real quick after no matter how cold and later on found out this is a common problem with the ranger. good luck hpoe this works for you

Sounds to me like your choke is malfunctioning. Take the cover off of your carb when cold and see if the choke (top buttefly valve) is closed. It should be when cold. (you do not say what year truck you have so I am guessing as to the answer)

Cold start

Go to Wal-Mart or any Auto Parts Store and Get a Can of B12-Chemtool Fill your Gas tank and Put into the Fuel tank. This will clear up any Contaminants in the Fuel. Sounds like you might have a Little Bad Gas.

The only fluid expansion tank I know of is for the cooling system, and if that is the case you my have a leak in the transmission cooler that is built into the radiator.
