The reason you're getting mixed info from parts stores is because it comes both ways.
Look at the following to determine which one you have, 4 wheel disc brakes (floating front rotors) or rear drum brake model (except 4 wheel disc brakes):
Brake Disc (Rotor) REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Except F-Super Duty with 4-Wheel Disc Brakes Fig. 1: Secure the caliper so there is no tension on the brake hose When buying rotors for a 95 Bronco 4X4 should the - 88289p22.jpg

  1. Jack up the front of the truck and support it with jackstands. Remove the front wheel.
  2. Remove the caliper assembly and support it on the frame with a piece of wire (or something equally secure) without disconnecting the brake fluid hose.
  3. Remove the hub and rotor assembly.
  4. Install the rotor in the reverse order of removal, and adjust the wheel bearing as outlined in Section 1.
F-Super Duty with 4-Wheel Disc Brakes The hub and rotor are individual pieces, allowing the rotor to be replaced independently. The front and rear rotors are the same and are attached with 10 bolts and washers. The bolts are tightened a little at a time, in a crisscross fashion, to an ultimate torque of 74–89 ft. lbs. (100–121 Nm). prev.gif next.gif

Is there a place that I can get step by step instructions on changing brakes? What would you think a 95 XLT would have? Wheel disk brakes or rear drum?

You can get them both ways, if hub's are good, I would just get the rotor's by them self, to install the rotor, you would have to knock out the stud's from the rotor, to install new one, the stud's is what holds the brake rotor to the hub assembly, that's not that bad of a job to do, also much cheaper for just the rotor's by them self, Napa part number 4886438, and cost about $35.00 each, hope this was very helpful.

Your has brake drum's in the rear, rotor's in the front, and we know that cause your looking to buy rotor's, all 95 Ford Bronco 2 or 4 wheel drive, brake shoes rear and brake pads front.

Im trying to replace the rotors and im having a Hard time getting it off. HELP

You might want to spray some WD-40 around the center of the rotor and the wheel lugs. Usually on Honda's, the rotors will have 2 threaded holes to put in bolts. Screw in each bolt equally to help push the rotor away from the hub.

Changing the rotors out on my 83 4x4 bronco

I would start with the simplest of solutions and try bleeding the breaks and checking the lines for any leaks. Second, if the brakes were properly bled and there is no leak apparent, I would remove the front caliper on the left side, and have a friend pump the brakes, and see if there is pressure on the caliper itself. It is likely that you may have broken or otherwise damaged a brake line, or the caliper simply chose this mos inconvenient of times to die.

Help with rotors please

you have to knock out all the wheel studs first. these are pressed in, just hammer them out then you can hammer the rotor off by placing hub and rotor, outer side up on flat surface. this will probably destroy the rotor but im assuming you are replacing them anyway

Hi how do i take of the front rotor for a 94 ford bronco?

have you got the wheel off, this is first step. next take off the pads and caliper. you dont have to disconnect the brake line. next there is a cotterpin and bolt holding the rotor on( in the center under a cap w grease in it), remove these and it should come off. if its rusted on youll have to hammer it a bit.

Changing brakes and rotors

Remove te cross pins that hold the caliper and the brake pads in place, then remove the caliper bracket, there are 2 bolts at the backside, then the rotro just slides off, clean any rust on the rotor mount area while the rotor is off, then using a large clamp depress the piston in the brake caliper and reinstall in reverse order, one word of caution, use quality replacement parts, Wagner is very good, if you don't use good parts you will end up with poor brake performance.
