Your heater core is leaking, and when it does, it drains into the foot well passenger side. Best case would be a hose that is leaking, worst case is the core itself. Replacing the core is a big job.

It may also be a stopped up drain located under car on passenger side of car underneath car by or on firewall that is for a/c condensation drainage. see if you notice it happening only when a/c is not running and climate control is set at 90 degree's with blower motor off the leaking stops, also that there is no coolant loss in radiator. The drain will look like the bottom of a pointy ice cream cone or just a round hose squeezed shut, open and clean out debris.

Water leaking in my passenger floor board of my 2011 f150

If it is raining or when car is being washed, then you probably have a front window rubber leak. If all the time check if it only happens when heater is on. Probably a heater radiator leak.

My 2007 nissan murano leaks water on the front and back floor what do you think the problem is

Well Terry...that is hard to say with the limited information provided
so I'll give you some areas to look at...listed in order of most likely area of concern.

1/
If your vehicle has a sunroof...it's drains could be plugged which may allow water to drain into the passenger compartment. To check this open the sunroof and introduce a slow stream of water to make sure the roof drains are clear and running freely.

2/
If your vehicle has a plugged front drain pan for the windshield, that may overflow into the passenger compartment. To check this area the wipers and plastic trim parts have to be removed. The fast way is to have a helper spray the windshield with a garden hose while you monitor under the dash for leaks.

3/
If the wet area is on the same side as the vehicles heater core
then the core may be leaking. You will smell the coolant and your windshield may fog up. Check by observing the core enclosure, while the engine is running and also check the radiator fluid level (while the engine is cold) as it will drop if the core is leaking. If the A/C drain pan is plugged (and if it is located in the passenger compartment) the collected condensation may overflow into the passenger compartment..

Good Luck, let us now if you are successful.

My 1999 dodge caravan is still overheating. I have already replaced the thermostat and the water pump, also there is no heat. please help me someone!

Hi there.
Well you can either have a problem with either radiator outer {dust/dirt in outer core of radiator or clogged up inside were water goes, or soft hoses, blowen head gasket plus a few others ,but first go to garage to were you blow up your tyres and use the air hose and blow out the radiator core where the air goes in, 2 drain out radiator water and then refill with water at 1 ltr at a time and then check your info car book and find how much water the radiator takes ,if it dosent take all the ltrs then the radiator is blocked inside.
if engine runs rough missing etc then get your Head gasket checked out.
When you say no heat is that with heat on gauge or no heat from heater, as it could be heater blockage same as radiator core. So let me know how you get on.

Why is coolant leaking from underneath the center of my cadillac deville 1997? I've replaced everything that has to do with the coolant. There is no water nor fog on the passenger side floor

Well, if the coolant is leakimg from the HVAC drain, then you need a heater core, no matter what. You really have to jack it up and look, but I can give you a couple of pointers......

1. The water pump is leaking. That happens a lot. The coolant is leaking near the front of the car, near the center, but ever so slightly towards the drivers side. You need a special tool to replace it and I think gm has an updated cover and gasket.

2. The water pump housing is leaking. The gaskets that seal it to the block are made of plastic and deteriorate often. The coolant will be leaking at the center of the car, maybe up by the water pump, or back between the engine and transmission.

3. The heater hoses. I have only seen this 2 time, but the metal pipes corrode along the fire wall.

4. You could need a radiator. I have seen the side tanks leak a few times.....

Just A couple of places to look, but you have to get under and look....

Water is leaking inside the car, what could this be?

Leaking inside on the passenger side floor could be the heater core(you should smell anti freeze) or the a/c condenser drain hose where the water collected on the condenser goes is stopped up. It's supposed to drip under the car. You may can unstop the hose by blowing through it from under the car if you can find it. If that doesn't work you have to access it from inside the car under the dash. The same goes for the heater core.

Water coming from somewhere on passenger side floor

Your definitley on the right track,it maybe the actual heater as most heater hoses end at the firewall so the leak must be on the inside of the firewall. If you cant spot the leak from the engine bay side you may have to remove the dash, hope this helps.

Water leak on the passenger rug for 2003 Corolla

well if you have water or coolant leaking on to the rug in your car, first you must remember that every car has 2 radiators. One for the Engine which is in the front of your car under the hood and one for your heater, which is usually hidden deep behind the dash inside of your car. So if you are leaking fluids on to the rug in the car; Im 90% sure its going to be something dealing with the heater radiator. What you have to do is find out where your heater radiator is on your car and check all the hoses.

Yes it is a heater core leak, here is how to change it.

Remove battery cables. you have to remove the upper dash pad on this paticular year model. with a 10 mm socket and a 1/2 inch extension remove the 5 retaining bolts. remove the blower assembly under the passenger side of dash. remove passenger side seat and center counsole. drain radiator. disconnect hoses from now exposed heater core. turn it 180 degrees and slide out. Replace in reverse order.

96 thunder bird overheating

Sounds like the heater core (a small radiator of sorts under the dash) is leaking or a hose going to it is leaking. If in a warm climate, you could bypass or block the heater hoses temporarily. Their only purpose is to make heat avail to interior of car. The 2 heater hoses either connect to feedthru's at the firewall or simply pass thru the firewall to the heater core. Every car I've seen has it on passenger side.

Peer up under the dash, it should be clear where it's coming from.
