Hello. I have a Kia Sorento diesel, 3.5 liter engine (manuf. 2004). It does not start. We checked the injectors, the fuel filters (in-tank and engine side). Diesel arrives up to the common rail, but not enough pressure to start the engine. Diagnostic code is P1188 and P1185. What can we do? JPG

I would suggest to change the cat convertor and move on.This will solve your problem and most likely check engine will go a way.Your code is P0431 is related to bad cat not sensor.Over time the cat will store too much carbons and will make it stop from firing up.Bank 1 cat is the driver side and bank 2 is th cat by the passenger side.You can get remanufacture cat at low price and around the $250 rather than by it from the dealer will cost you arm and leg around $800.I hope this will give anyone a good feedback.Mojeer

U may find that the negative battery cable has worn and it needs replacing. Check from battery down to the car cassie. That happened to me on my Nissan.

could be you have a few bad glow plugs or a relay for them or a bad glow plug controler. the glow plugs are basicly a direct short that creates heat that warms the air in the cylinder to aid initial start.they can be checked wiyh an ohm meter. remove the wire and place one lead on the wire connecter of the plug the other to a good ground.you should have good connectivity. if not replace the plug
