SOURCE: how do you change an idle control valve on a 2003 gmc envoy

The idle air control valve will be located at the top of the engine on top of the intake manifold. If you hold the new valve and then look at the manifold you should see where it goes. I'm guessing it'll have 2 screws and 1 electrical connector. The one's that I've replaced were very easy to get to and replace. Not sure on your vehicle. The screws may be phillips or torx type heads. Good luck, if this helps please rate this. Thanks.

SOURCE: 1992 gmc c1500 ac compressor relay location

I pulled this from another web site
"The AC clutch relay is located inside the cab on a metal bracket that is easiest to see when you remove the glove box compartment.

The relay is on a metal bracket bolted to the top of the plastic air box, forward and to the center of the dash from glove box.

There are three relays in a row on that bracket. The AC clutch relay is the end one closest to the driver’s side."

SOURCE: 03 gmc envoy with 5.3 140000 miles. Oil pressure

There may be a loose wire or the gauge or sending unit may be going bad. The first thing I would do is to hook up a temporary oil pressure gauge, not using the old one at all. With this watch gauge while driving and see what readings you get. If the readings still jump around you have a pump that is getting weak and failing, If that is the case the pump should be replaced, but with high milage you may consider rebuilding the entire engine. If the readings stay normal start checking for a loose wire at gauge or sender. Then check sender, then gauge and replace as needed.

2003 gmc envoy xl 4wd 5.3 litre idles low and stalls mainly when parking but sometimes also when coming to a stop...have replaced many parts already.

Hello: Get some carburetor cleaner, remove rubber tube going to the throttle body. Spray cleaner on rag and open throttle plate and clean all black stuff (carbon) off the throttle plate and the inner bore of the throttle plate. Make sure its clean, You can spray some in the throttle body but not very much as too much and you cab blow the engine up. If build up is bad (carbon) go to Auto Zone and purchase a small brass bristle brush to help remove carbon.

When i drive my 03 envoy and turn ac on it cuts off

If you mean the engine stalls when you come to a stop, then the throttle body is in need of cleaning.

Ac clutch on envoy does't stay engaged

When the clutch kicks out prematurely, it's usually low in refrigerant. if the low side pressure gets too low, the low pressure cut out switch trips, turning off the compressor. Or it could be a bad cycling switch.

AC warms when at idle speed

I dont belived having bigger radiator make your ac unit run better although radiator has nothing to do with ac beside colling your engine. If that was an issue to all cases, i think GM would have recall all of their envoy due to cooling issue, that's not so. If the car has been running fine since it was band new and now it started to have this cooling problems, I dont understand how can one come up with and idea that the radiator is too small, that dont make sense to me. Your eveporator sit in front of your radiator it may not have good flow of air movement to cool down the hot gases in the evaporator, maybe fan clutch is not working properly keeping the fan run at constant speed. The unit mabe also low on feon and not having enough feon in the systems causing your systems not to run properly. Low pressure or low feon will cause the unit also to run poorly and will caused the pressure switch to cut compressor on and off more frequent. Have the pressure tested and filled if need first. being 2003, if with high miles; its it good time to also have your thermostat replace if you never have it done. Hope that help some

Charge ac

It is located under the hood in the larger of the 2 AC lines, this large line is the low pressure line, also check on the round can the low side line connects to as it can be on that as well, that part is called the Accumulator/reciever drier

A/C on a 2003 gmc envoy slt.

the only thing causing this problem thatn i can think of if, will be a defective or intermintant a/c compressor relay, or
if you have the check engine light on or the envoy is overheating
it has a systmes than will shut the a/c system of to prevent engine damage and take load away from engine, so let me know if you have any of this symptoms or if not try to locate the cycling switch most of times it is located on the side of a/c acumulator, if it has two wires only, by pass the wires with a paper clip and if the systems keeps on with no problem the have this switch replace, most of times you don't have to remove the refrigerant to have this sensor or switch replace just turn the a/c on, by oassed like i said and that will keep the pressure low in the system so you can replace the sensor, just make sure it is the low side swich and not the high but if you don;t know how does it looks like i recomend you to buy one and look for the similar on the envoy, any way if you do not need it or not use it
you can always returned with the purchase receip, tht's why i love america always on the customer side, good luck and let me know
