SOURCE: 95 chevy k3500 will not shift into 4hi

Hi ..i had the same same problem in my k3500,check 4x4 fuse first .if thats blown replace it if blows when you put in 4x4 go under the car and unplug the actuator at the front diff.go back in the cab and put another fuse in, shift into 4x4 if the fuse does not blow this time you will need a new actuator.
thats what happened with mine and now 4x4 is sweet.i thought mine worked to at the start until i got bogged and noticed my front wheels wernt turning.

SOURCE: stuck in 4x4 low range

My wife just recently had a similar problem. She got stuck in the mud and put our 2004 F150 in 4x4 Low to get out. She didn't. Had to have AAA pull her out. She then left a bit later and the truck was still in 4x4 Low even after switching to 2WD. She even tried going backwards to get it to switch. So she called me frantically because the car would not go over 10 mph w/o the RPMs getting way too high. I said I'd call her back. So I called our local Ford Repair shop and he gave me these instructions (loosely based on what the owner's manual says to do) 1. Start Vehicle 2. Switch to 4x4 Low 3. Put in Neutral 4. Switch to 4x4 High 5. Go in Reverse for a bit and then Forward a bit again (You should now be in 4x4 High) 6. Put in Neutral 7. Switch to 2WD You should now be good. If that didn't work, then try repeating step 5 after step 7. Which reminds me. I really should call her back :) (It worked)

SOURCE: I need to hook up a boat trailor Whats the color code for a 1995

I suspect that the 4 wire harness includes a ground, so you may not be able to connect both brake lights and turn signals, which are separate lamps on the pickup. You may need to get an adapter.

In any case, the color codes on the pickup are:

Tail lights -- pink/blue
Brake Lights -- green/yellow
Left turn signal -- gray/blue
Right turn signal -- gray/red
Ground -- black

How do I put my Chevy trail blazer 2005 LS in 4 wheel drive

look on the dash for a 4wd button or switch. may be located between the steering wheel and the radio. when you turn the knob to select 4hi, 4lo, 2hi, or auto, the indicator light above the corresponding selection will flash until the shift has completed. if the light stays flashing there is a fault in the 4wd system

Transfcase motor not shifting

Have you had it check for DTC's - diagnostic trouble codes . frustrating because you don't know what your doing. Rookies ! I'd tell you have to test but you don't have tool or knowledge .
What transfer case does your tahoe have ?
Do you know what DTC'S are ? Your vehicle 4X4 can set a bunch .

Just show a few DTC'S and for everyone of these DTC'S is a diagnostic flow chart . Do you know what that is ? It's fustrating and hard to fix something when you don't have a clue as to what your doing . Do you know how to do basic automotive electrical testing ?

This would sound about what the problem could be , but with out testing id be guessing just like you .

DTC C0306 05: Motor A or B Circuit Short to Battery or Open
DTC C0306 02: Motor A or B Circuit Short to Ground
DTC C0321 01: Transfer Case Lock Short to Battery

Do yourself a favor and save some aggravation an take it to a qualified repair shop . You do know a computer controls the 4X4 system ? transfer case shift control module .

My2002 chevy wont come out of 4 low

Did you fix the E brake problem? Replace the rear cables or cut them at the rear brakes. To much pressure on the T case can keep it from shifting. Especially from 4 low.

My 2000 Chevrolet Blazer is stuck in 4low. Today my "service 4wd" lit up on my dash. I asked a friend to check it out really quick. He tried putting the car into auto 4wd with my push button switch over...

Start with the simple and check the fuses and replace any one that has gone bad. Pay attention to the 4WD fuse and replace it is it has gone bad.
Thank you for using fixya and keep me posted, be glad to help you get your Blazer running 100% again soon.

4x4 stack

Usually they are a little hard to move. Usually not bad from 2hi to 4hi but to 4low can be hard. It will be easier to shift if the transmission is in neutral.
