My 1995 pathfinder skips and stumbles at driving speeds when under load, such as running ac or pulling camper. Does it worse when going through gear changes(automatic), seems to do alot better after it gets in high gear but still does it, just not as bad. Generally runs good without a load on it. Can you help?

Check spark plugs, pull valve cover to inspect valve train. Send to a shop if breakage is visible.

It can be fuel pressure issue or it's the problem with accelerator pedal or its clogged filters causing there.

Cylinder misfires at idle that are not very noticeable under load or higher speeds are usually caused by vacuum leaks (most common) or low compression on one or more cylinders. Fuel control system malfunctions can also cause this, but it will take a trained technician that can analyze the computer input and output data to determine the actual cause if this is the case. Please note that when I say "analyze data" I DO NOT mean simply hooking up a generic OBD code reader and pulling fault codes.

check your vacuum lines

Your issue would actually be with your transfer case I believe, do not tow in 4 wheel drive. A 5.4 super duty can pull a house on skids.... ask previous owner if rear differential has been swapped out as well. Just as an after thought, first make sure your camper brakes are not engaged...if it has brakes.

you mite try searhing in the air department maybe try spray bottle soapy water 2 guys ...run motor all rpms spraying soap all over intake gaskets air lines ect..... either you find blowing {bubbles}.. or sucking {disapering}/... hope this gets you moving in the rite direction w/no cost diagnositcs

The 4.6 lit motors have individual coil packs. usually, they are not very suceptable to water but... If the check engen light comes on (amber light on the dash) It's probly just skipping. Get some one to put the car in drive and hold the brake. Under load the skip will be worse. Unplug each coil one by one. As they are unpluged,the motor will shake worse. when you unplug one and the skip dosn't get worse, you have found the bad cylender. Odds are it's a coil pack but replace the plug too.

it is a problem w/ignition wires put a NEW not used set of wires and it should run fine even after you dry old wires the problem that you have will not go away had the same problem with 850 turbo NEW IGNITION WIRES should solve your problem
