I had the dvd player/radio /cd player replaced in my 2007 Yukon, the cd player would not read discs, the dealership ordered a new radio & now the dvd player reads disc region error & will not play any of my dvds however, the old unit would play the same discs. The unit does not have navigation built in.

If your using copies then some dvds wont read them even if the old one did, sometimes its a gamble if it reads or not, if your using a master then i would have them check it out, it may be bad or need programing, it funny because sometimes it will play a copy and sometimes not, thats what i've run into. hope this helps.

How do I disconnect the CD/DVD player in my 2007 Yukon Denali XL? Or is there a fuse I can pull for just the CD/DVD player without losing my radio?

The CD/DVD unit has a microprocessor in it that has to 'talk' to the radio and control system elsewhere so if it is not working, neither will the radio.

2007 toyota camry cd player reading error 1

I had the error code no. 1 in my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It has the CD radio unit with JBL system. It will not eject the CD, or play it. I removed the entire radio/CD unit and replaced it with a used excellent unit bought off of ebay for $100, and the replacement works fine. However the replacement is also 7 years old. Therefore I would not be surprised if it failed again. Prior to the error 1 I had intermittent error 3 codes, which had the same effect: no playing of the CD, unable to eject, and unable to insert other CDs. Sometimes the error codes would go away, and the function would be normal. But once it started, I think it was on a downhill path. A new replacement is nearly $2000. Used are about $100 to $200 or more depending on the seller and condition of the unit. Youtube has videos on how to replace the unit which only requires simple tools: it is not difficult but takes about 45 minutes to an hour. If you do it you have to put the car in gear to move the gear shift gate, which requires the car to be on, so you should have the parking brake on for safety. One alternative is to send your unit to a repair company but that might cost more than simply replacing the unit. Good luck!

I have change the battery on my 2005 yukon, and my 6 cd radio changer tells me there is no discs, but the truth is it has all the 6 cd's in; is there a way to reset this so i could pull or play the...

I know what this is, when you changed your battery you reset your in dash cd player. Shuting off the security code. you need to take it to a shop or at the worst your local Dealership and they can reset the security code on your radio and it should work proper again. This is an anti theft device that disables the deck if it is removed from the dash Or from power. Hope that helps.

2007 yukon xl battery dead recharged battery will not start no security light no gages work when you turn the key on. try to start the engine nothing happen like the security system shut down. can you...

We had the same issue with our 2007 Yukon Denali XL. Died on us twice after sitting for short periods of time; once we watched a DVD with the engine off and battery died within 10 minutes. The dealership kept it overnight to troubleshoot why the battery died so quickly. They said the radio was "pulling" too much from the battery. (They supposably fixed it) But again a few days later the battery died again after sitting overnight. We brought it back to the dealership and they brought in a GMC "expert" to replace the entire DVD/CD/Navigation system. They also replaced our battery with a much larger battery, similar to the ones that GMC puts in there diesel trucks. They had our Denali for 5 days, but it appears to be fixed now.
Getting it fixed correctly wasn't without headaches, but it was all covered under warranty, including the battery. And they are updating the nav w/ the new edition disc as well for no charge.
