CAUTION
When draining engine coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted to ethylene glycol antifreeze and could drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or is several years old.
The crankshaft pulley may be reached by removing the side cover from inside the right-hand wheel opening.
To install:
Do not bend or twist the timing belt. NEVER rotate the crankshaft and camshaft separately with the timing belt removed. Be sure the timing belt is free of any oil, water or debris.
When the timing belt is on and in position, there should be 39 cogs between the timing mark on each of the camshaft sprocket and 48 cogs between the mark on the right camshaft sprocket and the mark on the crankshaft sprocket.
Fabricate and install a suitable 25mm thick spacer between the end of the crankshaft and the head of the crankshaft pulley bolt to prevent bolt damage.
