Where is the freon line located for a 2002 ford expedition

Automobile A/C system repairs are regulated by the government due to the interaction of FREON with the atmosphere.
Being as you are clearly unfamiliar with the system I would advise that you consolt a local garage to do any A/C work on your vehicle.

That being said ;
There are TWO sets of Freon lines.
One set being the HIGH side which feeds the freon to the compressor .
The other being the LOW side .
The A/C coolent lines are a closed system and located in the front of the radiator in the form of a Condensor.
The Compressor is mounted on the engine and has lines going to and from it .
The FREON LINES are rather large aluminum hoses that have , at intervals, flexable rubber lines in thier circuit.

On a 2002 you will note the bright green Valve caps on the shreader valves located the left (passenger side) in the under hood (engine compartment).

For a 2002 ford expedition the ac orfice tube is located in the evaporator core, remove the lower line to core and look inside , using a needle nose pliers pull tube out. heres a picture of the orfice tube, take note of which way the tube comes out and make sure the new one goes in in the same direction, good day.

on the low ressure line, there will be a nozzle that you connect the freon kit to. The kit will not fit on high pressure line.

ON THE RECIEVER DRYER ,PASSENGER SIDE OOF THE FIREWALL CONNECTOR POINTS TOWARD THE REAR OF THE VALVE COVER.

You have to locate the low pressure line and connector port. Trace the two lines back to the firewall that come from the compressor. You will find 1 port on each line. They are usually covered by a plastic cap of some type that unscrews. Your refill hose, assuming you have a standard refill can with attached gauge, will only attached to the low pressure side. The two ports are slightly different in size. The low pressure side should be the larger of the two lines you are tracing from the compressor.

i'm guessing you mean freon for the AC. there is a cap to remove on the line where the adapter for the refill goes

The low port is hard to see. It is located on the silver canister (evaporator). Follow the freon lines to the canister toward the firewall, the low port is located on the (evaporator). Warm you engine and turn the air cond. on. Hold the can upside down, if the can frost over, wrap a warm cloth around the can. This will help to flow the freon into the system.

the male hose will only in too the female also one is biger than the othere it will only fit that one

The low pressure valve on the 02 expedition is located on the accumulator on the passenger side fire wall. The accumulator is underneath the battery relay and a grouping of wires. Had to squeeze hand underneath a heater hose and an a/c line to remove cap and hook up hose. Nothing has to be removed to locate the valve just a little touchy feely. Valve faces a 45 forward toward the engine.

On the condenser, which is located on the passenger side on the firewall.
