Volvo XC-70 Rear wiper. It was "stuck" for a month. Yesterday, the motor ran loudly (sounded like gears not meshing) - kept the car running and went outside and manually gave the arm a push and voila. However, went through the entire process again after I shut down and restarted. right now I just want to disable the wiper - which fuse should I pull?

Wiper fuse but it will stop your front wipers. best way is to pull panel and unplug that motor.

SOURCE: how to program the volvo V 70 XC 2008 garage door opener

Simply hold down the button you want to use (there are 3 for up to 3 different garage doors) until the light flashes and keep holding it down. Now place the garage door opener up near the sun visor and hold it's button down until the light on the on button you are programming flashes. It is now programed. The other 2 are done the same way. Good luck. It took me a while to find the info, it's not in any Volvo manuals I could find.

SOURCE: how do you properly remove inside panel on driver

Look for hidden screws, around the edge of the door, inside the door pocket, under the pull close handle and 'in & around' the door handle lever.
Then with those successfully removed, the whole door card should slide either up, or in the door edge direction to remove.
Be careful not to be too heavy handed, as this will undoubtedly break plastic lugs/clips etc.
Then once you have removed the door card, familiarize yourself, with where & how it fits on to the door for reassembly.
I hope I've helped.
Good luck

Rear windscreen washes when stalk pulled forward?

It should be that when you pull the stalk towards you the front wiper/headlight wiper operate, away from you for the rear wiper. It hasn't just rewired itself, and miswiring seems quite unlikely.

Has it been dismantled? Has any other electrical work been done near relays or fusebox?
Some history would be useful. I'm also wondering whether it could also be changed by programming the computer? If you don't have any history I would join a volvo forum and seek further advice before you start dismantling the stalk wiring.

If your car has the xenon headlights, it might be a faulty xenon ballast/regulator module. You car has daytime running lights so they are on at a low power setting all the time.
