'92 Chevy Corsica -Car starts and runs good, but after driving for 5-6 miles or so, it starts to sputter then dies. Will start back, but dies when putting in gear. But the next day you can start it up and drive it again until it dies, then it does the same thing. Sometimes you can drive it for 10 miles before this happens. Ive noticed it doing this when the air conditioner is running, but it will also do it without the air on. HELP!!!!!!

You need to test the control module for the engine and see if any codes for this issue are in memory. You can do so by following the instructions at the link provided. FAQ How to read older GM codes for free

SOURCE: Car dies and battery light comes on.

Will it crank over when it won't start? When It dies check for spark at the sparkplugs if none change the ignition module.

SOURCE: 92 chevy corsica when starting

as , with most corsicas , around that time , it seems that there is a general problem with the cruise control . . .
try unhooking the arm that connects the cruise control to the engine . . . should be easy to take off ,
and see if that helps the problem

SOURCE: I need to clean my

I can't tell you the exact procedure for disassembling the MAF in a Corsica, unfortunately. I can tell you that if you are able to locate and disassemble it, you should handle it with extreme care. The monofilament wires are extremely easy to break. Do not use any object to touch, wipe, brush or scrub at them. I personally don't recommend cleaning the MAF on any vehicle, but if you find that you must, you should use ONLY an electronic cleaning spray. CRC sells an excellent electronic cleaning spray that is non-damagine to plastics. Simply spray the MAF down very thoroughly with the spray and allow it to air dry before reassembly. Beyond that, anything you do to it would be likely to damage it. Any other types of cleaners, such as carb cleaner, would be likely to cause the plastic parts and other delicate electronic components to break down and be ruined. Good luck and let me know how it goes!

good advice is to always run the fault codes when the engine is playing up. After all that is what they are there for. They save so much money and frustration. So run the fault codes and fix the faulty sensor .

Blown Fuses - Dead 1998 Ford Escort

Try changing the fuel filter first we always change them when servicing the fuel pump anyway, its easy and cheap,if that doesnt solve the problem you will have to perform an amperage draw test on the fuel pump to insure your not replacing a good pump. Check the fuel pump relay and inertia switch and wiring also.Although possible its unlikley the fuel pump would blow a fuse consistantly without displaying any driveability problems. There may also be another component running off the fuel pump fuse have your mechanic pull a wiring diagram to find out. Good hunting keep me informed
