Hight idle

Bad idle solenoid. Located on throttle body. It's black. Plugs in to wiring cable. You need a torx bit to remove. It's a cheap and easy fix. Also, get some throttle body cleaner and a tooth brush. Saturate the inside of the throttle body with cleaner and scrub out the black soot. Do this with throttle body in wide open position. Be sure to clean the edges of the butterfly good. They soot up and stick preventing throttle body from closing all the way.

Engines races at 1500 rpm and up. any solutions ???

check to make sure the throttle valve Is not sticking open and not fully closing as this can cause a higher than normal idle. check to see if its dirty and clean it with throttle cleaner and a tooth brush this will allow the valve to close and not be gumed up. another thing to check is for a vacume leak like maybe a bad pcv valve. just some places to check out.

Throttle sticks at times when starting out. Hear a popping sound and throttle moves easily then

there is a throttle-stop, this prevents the throttle valve getting stuck in the bore, put simply the valve is a perfet fit and if it fully closes it is liable to get stuck in that position, so a "stop" is employed to keep the throttle just a tiny bit open, but without increasing the idle speed, it is similar to an idle-control screw. tighten this a little, so it keeps the throttle a little more open - check this diagram to find the stop adjuster screw.09aa699.png

IF IT WAS A FUEL FILTER IT WOULD ACT LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME. GO TO AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCED PART STORE AND THEY WILL SCAN IT FOR FREE.BECAUSE IT COULD BE A EGR VALVE STICKING OR A THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR OR A {A.I.S MOTOR].
