In order to remove your harmonic balancer, you will need a harmonic balancer puller. Most harmonic balancer pullers work and look the same. For your specific car it doesn't need a specific one. You can go and pick one up at your local auto parts store. You can either buy it or rent it, depending where you go. Hope this helps.

1999 Sirion. How do I remove the harmonic balancer?

You're best bet to get a full shop manual for this car is going to be on eBay Daihatsu Workshop Manual eBay

To get just the harmonic balancer off you will need a heavy duty gear puller; they do make harmonic balancer pullers but a really good gear puller will work just as well. Whatever you do, don't try prying it off with a bar, or hitting it with a hammer; you'll either damage the crankshaft or the balancer or possibly both.
It's also a lot easier to do when the motor is out of the car; you'll need a lot of room to work getting it off.
Back to the balancer; take all of the belts off, loosen the bolt in the center of the balancer (you will need to lock the flywheel so the crank doesn't turn when you try to loosen the bolt). Once it's loosened, take it out a couple of turns, but no more than that, attach the puller and start pulling it off, once you see it move, you can take the puller off, remove the bolt, you should be able to pull it off by hand now; if not, reattach the puller, and finish pulling it off. There is a little "guide pin" in the crankshaft called the Woodruff Key, you'll want to take it out and inspect to see if it shows any wear, or distortions, if so, replace it. Leave it out until you're ready to reinstall the balancer; it's how the balancer lines up with (and holds it in place) crankshaft. This is not a job for a beginner.

How do I take off the harmonic balancer on a 4.0 liter engine

You will have to take the belt off and then take the bolt out of the center that holds it onto the crankshaft. then You need a "harmonic balancer" puller, It has slots that bolt to the inner part of the balancer and you screw in the big center bolt. As you tighten the bolt it "pulls" the balancer. Here is a picture;

Need to pull the harmonic balancer. Do i need a puller 1992 cutlas ciera c with 3300 v6.

Yes. You always need a puller for the harmonic balancer. Never try to remove it without a puller. You may be able to rent one at the auto parts store or borrow one from a friend. Hope this helps.

The power steering adjuster bolt with be gained from the bottom. It has a 12mm bolt head on it. You will break the jamb bolt loose first and then loosen the adjusting bolt. Pull down on the belt the help move it after you've loosened it some.Then remove harmonic balancer bolt (19mm).If the harmonic balancer will not slide off the crankshaft then use a two finger gear puller. Place the harmonic balancer bolt back in the crankshaft but do not tighten it. Leave it about a half inch from being all the way in. Next place the puller onto the harmonic balancer (one finger on each side securely press into the belt groove. The center puller bolt will rest against the harmonic balancer bolt head. Tighten the puller bolt and make sure the harmonice balancer bolt does not turn. The balancer should come off at this point.
