I need change my radiator and i dont know. - 1998 Chevrolet Malibu

First drain the coolant on radiator (There is a plastic plug on the bottom part of the radiator) Open the drain plug with the rad cap open. On top of the radiator there should be a plastic cover that you must remove to give you acces to the radiator mount bolts. Unbolt the fan shorud ant hang it agains the fan. Disconnect the transmission lines from side of radiator as well as upper and lower hoses. Now you remove the radiator bolts (located on the front corners of radiator) After that, just pull it up.

You shouldn't have to remove A/C lines. The A/C lines you are seeing go to the A/C condensor that is in front of, but seperate from the radiator. The metal lines attached to the radiator go to the transmission. The transmission cooler is built in to the radiator.

there should be a radiator plug u can loosen and drain the fluid

first off i dont advise using this type product, but i know it isnt always convenient to buy a 2 r 3 hundred dollar radiator, but anyway, with the car cool remove the radiator cap and let the car run about 4 or 5 minutes and pour it directly in the radiator and replace the cap, you will then need to drive the car an additional 15 or 20 minutes for it to take effect, i would replace the radiator asap, asit could cause it to overheat and cost tons of time and money,GOOD LUCK!

Drains are located on bottom of radiator, Some models dont have them and you simply remove lower radiator hose to drain. But if its full and still overheating? Id have a look at the water pump. They are known to fail and cause severe engine damage

Firstly check from where the steam is coming out from.
Is it from the top radiator cap???... then its loose just tighten it...
Is it from the hose.... lower hose or upper hose.... change it.
worst case if it is from the radiator itself.....
Whatever you do... please dont go for a long drive till this is fixed....
Till you get it fixed please top the radiator with clean water else the engine will cease...

YOU WILL NEED A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL.IT WILL SHOW AND TELL YOU HOW TO REMOVE RADIATOR.I DONT KNOW YOUR CLIMATE.IF YOU LIVE IN VERY COLD CLIMATE.YOU NEED MORE ANTIFREEZE IN COOLANT SYSTEM THAN WATER.WATER WILL FREEZE CAUSE PROBLEMS.

Have your heater core flushed. Works like a charm every winter when I do it.

Why was radiator replaced?Did it have heat before ? If it was plugged, the heater core may also be plugged. Try flushing it with a water hose in both directions. I dont know why the botton radiator hose would be cold, the radiator should be a uniform temp and the air coming through the radiator should be HOT, when the engine is at operating temp. What condition was the old coolant? if it was rusty, the water pump may have lower flow than normal.

Leave the pressure cap off.Run engine and check if you having any air bubbles in the water.If yes a blown head gasket.If no replace the thermostat.Make sure the fan is in good working order.
