Thanks to goodness there is a world of serious minded people out there who have humanity at heart and to endeavour to help mankind out of the worlds difficulty along the least line of resistance. I have indeed driven my car over the past 3 years without the benefit of a radio and simply refusing to pay undeserved $40. Shamefully this is what our world has been reduced to with people finding it very difficult to be of assistance to one another. I am indeed very greatful to the initiator and team of FixYa praying and hoping I also as a new member of the club would become very relevant to society. All thumbs up. It is marvelous to nutrisys indeed a Guru. Capt. Victor

Inside the glove compartment, on the back side of the glove compartment door you should find a small sticker with two sets of numbers. The number set with 5 digits is you radio rest code. Turn on the radio and when the message "CODE" comes up, use the station preset buttons to input the code. If the code was input correctly, the radio should come on immediately.

Testimonial: "Excellent solution, I am very grateful Captain Victor"

This is a Super Duper way of helping and making the world go round with greater ease. Our world can be a better place and with less difficulty with people and arrangements of this nature. To me the experience is more than a 100% rating. My very sincere gratitude and blessing of The Most High. Capt Victor

Thank you for your kind words. Your patience must be exceptional to have gone 3 years without the use of your radio. I don't think I would have lasted that long. If you have indeed found this solution to be helpful, please click on the 4 "thumbs up" as the "best solution" so that others might also benefit from your experience. Thanking you in advance.

    God Bless

Just changed the battery for the first time in 2004 crv LX model. Everything fine, but radio/cd etc just has the word COde across the display and nothing will work...??? what is the code and/or how do I...

Whenever you disconnect a car battery, the radio needs to have the Security code installed. It is for theft protection. It is the code you programed into it when you bought the car. If you bought the car new, the code is usually a series of zero's, usually 3 or 4. If you bought the car used, you may have to contact the previous owner, & ask what they used as a radio code, or if they recoded it. If that is not possible, you'll have to take it to a dealer, to have the radio reprogrammed. If you have an owners manual, it will be described in there also, on how to do it all.

Radio won't come on

when battery dies the radio deems this to be that someone is trying to steal it and it goes into anti-theft mode and disables itself u need to notify a dealer the codes are dealer issued because they are considered a part of the vehicles security system call the dealer first will explain how to retrieve the radio id number which is needed
