Check for air leaks in the induction system and check the throttle butterfly for sticking in the throttle body housing. from memory i think your car does not have a throttle cable its a fly by wire system

It sounds like you have a vacuum leak or intake gaskets leaking. Try this. Start the engine and let it reach the idle it want to go to. Get you a can of Brake Clean and spray it around the intake manifold (it on the top center of the engine, you may have to removed a plastic cover) If the engine idle changes up or down then the intake gaskets are leaking hence your vacuum leak. I hope this will help you.

SOURCE: how can i change my spark plugs on my fiesta mk5 1.4 16v

look up by the fuel rails and you see these funny looking things normally they have two wires on them and the spark plugs are under those and in most cases you have to remove the fuel injecter rails in order to get access to the plugs

SOURCE: High Idle when shifting. It goes up and down idle on it own.

dear friend-the hyundai products has the future of returning to idle slowly so any changes wil not bring it down quicker unless you can find away to confuse the ecu.

If you have first gear, you should have reverse. Problems could be a clip has broken in the transmission( that hold the reverse clutches) or you have burnt the the band clutch for reverse. Both are internal.

2001 ford taurus runs good but will not move when put into gear.

sounds like you have a manual transmission. ?
Worn Clutch plates will give these symptoms
The clutch plates rub together and provide connection between the gear box and the drive shaft if not worn.
Also check the cable for the clutch is not loose and needs a surclip to hold it in at the firewall.
Check if Hydraulic Clutch that there is adequate clutch fluid if low might have leaking clutch master cyclinder

I have experienced this in a car I owned.
Not a lot of fun . Resulted in needing a Tow to repair garage and new clutch was AUD $1200 a couple of years ago.

Hi There.
sounds like your release bearing has either collapsed or seized, either way you will have to drop the gear box and check it out... should'nt be a problem on a 1999 fiesta. just be careful not to pop a drive shaft and lose the transmission fluic on the floor.
Good Luck

1966 Falcon with C4 Transmission I changed out fluid and filter

Generally, what causes C-4's and C-6's to be slugish going into gear, is the seals on the servo pistons are getting hard. The servo pistons are what apply pressure on the clutch packs, when the seals get hard the oil can blow past the piston and the clutch won't engage. It's worse when the the trany is cold and usualy gets better as the oil gets warm. You could try some transmission conditioner, the cheep stuff works as good as the high dollar stuff. Don't rev the engine to try to get it to go into gear, the clutch is trying to engage and you will burn the clutch up pack. If the clutches were replaced 3k miles ago why didn't they put seals in it at the same time?

You say you added gear lube. Where did you add the gear lube, to the differential? Because if you added gear lube to your master cylinder for the clutch, I think we found your problem. It calls for brake fluid.

prolly a hydraulic problem master os slave cylinder leak ck your fluid takes dot 3 brake fluid , also you can put in gear hold the pedal down usually if the fiber substance is gone from the clutch disk the car will not move while cranking if the car moved then its a hydraulic problem , note to self try this with nothing in front of the car it might start up in gear if that happens you will have to immediately turn the engine key off , if the fiber is gone while running you can put trans into any gear while running without pedal inguaged , hope this helps
