I cant unlock my Ford XR6 i have already replaced key remote battery

Do not know where you live but some autoparts stores have a tester for the Key FOBs which let you know if the Fob is working. You might have bought a dead battery. If the Fob is working perhaps the battery in your vehicle is dead and that is why the locks do not work.

Usually there is a real key attached to a Fob. Just use the key.

2004 ford exp 4.0 with new starter and battery. It sat all winter with no battery. Now the anti theft wont let the key chip turn over the starter. All instrament lights go on.

If this doesn't work you will need the help of a clever person with suitable equipment...

Try disconnecting the battery and leaving overnight. Next morning fit the ignition key into the steering lock and switch on - then connect the battery.
It sometimes works...

How to reset key fob for 2004 freestar

I found this description and it worked for the replacement fobs I bought on eBayhttp://www.ehow.com/how_6011089_reset-key-fob-ford-freestar.html.
I screwed up by not obtaining additional keys before I lost set # 2. You need two working keys to program the vehicle to accept new keys.

How do i program my ford key fob 2 my transit van

1 - Unlock the doors. Put the key in the ignition, and turn from "Off" to "ACC" 8 (eight) times in under 10 seconds. The doors will lock. Leave key in the "ON" position

2 - Program the fobs by pressing any key on the fob. The doors locks will lock/unlock

3 -- Turn the key to Off. Locks will lock/unlock, and you are out of programming mode.

I bought new remote Key Fob on Ebay and it did work properly on my Ford Transit LWB 2003. Good Luck!

2001 e250 van keyless remote will not program

I have a few trouble shooting tips for you to get your key fob working. Sounds like you already know how to program the key fob so I will skip that part. Here is what I suggest:

Change the battery
Batteries don't last forever, you'll be surprised how often it's just a dead battery! Click here for a video on how to open a GM key fob, or search our YouTube channel on how to change a battery for your specific year, make, and model!

Wipe the board
The board inside your remote can get a lot more filthy than you think! When the board is dirty it can prohibit the contact to the circuit board when you push down on the button. Simply wiping the circuit board off can make your key fob like new again!
