The body control module does not have anything to do with the windows.Depending on the year of your vehicle there is a drivers door module for the drivers and passengers side. What you should do is see if you are getting power to those switches that don`t work.Do they roll down with the drivers switch? If you post back make sure and include the year of your vehicle and I can look at the schematic for your windows.Good luck.

Where is BCM located on a 2003 GMC Envoy

The BCM is located under the rear seat on driver's side next to fuse box.
Don't believe this is a BCM problem, it is more likely the Driver's Door Module itself. Try moving the passenger door module over to the driver's side and see if that works the windows.

2002 gmc envoy windows roll down and up by themselves

The power windows on your vehicle are controlled by an electronic control module , as are the power mirrors !
Power Window System Components
The power window system consists of the following components:
• Driver door module (DDM)
• Passenger door module (PDM)
• Body control module (BCM)
• LR power window switch
• RR power window switch
• Window up and window down relays in each of the rear passenger window switches
• Window lockout switch
• Reversible power window motors in each of the doors (circuit breaker protected)
• LT DOOR CB 25A (System power for left rear window)
• RT DOOR CB 25A (System power for right rear window)

Your best bet , take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop.

My 2002 Buick Rendevous would not start three times, then on the 4th time it started. Now the security and SES light is flashing. The windows won't roll down, radio is locked, door locks won't...

Given the amount of electronic's ( computers ) on your vehicle ,it could be a lot of thing's . Hooking up a factory or professional grade scan tool that can communicate with all the control modules on the vehicle should be the first step in the diagnostic problem . Checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes , communication between module errors etc.....
Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop that has the proper diagnostic equipment to check it out .
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Body control module (BCM)
• Driver door lock switch
• Front passenger door lock switch
• Door lock actuators in each of the doors
• Door lock system fuse into the BCM (BCM D 25A fuse)

BCM Functions
The body control module (BCM) is capable of accomplishing multiple body control functions. Components directly connected to the BCM are controlled by the BCM outputs. The BCM can control its outputs based on input information it obtains from sensors and switches that are directly connected to the BCM, or by receiving information from other vehicle systems connected to the class 2 serial data link. The BCM evaluates this information and controls certain body systems by commanding an output on or off.
The BCM is also capable of commanding other vehicle systems to control functions that are not directly wired to and/or controlled by the BCM. The BCM accomplishes this task by sending specific messages on the class 2 serial data link. The vehicle system capable of performing such function will respond to the BCM message.
The BCM controls/monitors the following functions:
• Audible warnings
• Indicators control
• Interior lighting
• Exterior lighting
• Power/automatic door locks
• Keyless entry
• Content theft deterrent
• Personalization
• Serial Power Modes
• Electrical Power Management

The passenger door has lost all pwr. The window, mirror & lock won't work. The dealer says we need a door control module to the tune of $452.00 . I want to find one online & replace it myself...

Hi

The door control module actually consists of the door's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and the switches or buttons integrated into one assembly. There are two of them: the driver door module or DDM (as seen on the sample diagram below) and the passenger door module or PDM, which is on the right front door. These modules are programmable.
They are also called driver door switch (DDS) and passenger door switch (PDS), so perhaps you can rephrase your search.

One day the power window would not roll down but the power locks on the same side work fine.It also will not roll down withe the button on the drivers side.. 2005 GMC Envoy

The power locks have absolutely nothing to do with the power windows - totally different circuits.

The FIRST thing to check is to make sure that the window lockout button on the driver's door control switch is not turned on. This will keep all of the windows from operating except the driver's window.

Other than that, there are several things that can cause a power window to not roll down. It can be a power window lift motor, a window regulator, the window switches, or any of the wiring in between. Also, you did not mention which window is not working. BOTH of the FRONT windows are equipped with Door Control Modules (DCM) which, in turn, are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM). If it is the front window you are talking about, it will be necessary to scan your BCM for fault codes to determine the source of the problem. If it is one of the rear windows, this can be checked by regular electrical testing and a scanner should not be necessary.
