Take it to the dealer.. Theses guys are jokes on this website and could not solve a starting problem if the car just needed gas as a fix. What a joke...
Suggests a problem with the Automatic Gear box ECU, or X/Y selector
switch. Can also be water in the connector as it joins the gearbox, or
someone's knocked the ECU which is under the passenger seat (RHD). Sometimes
this can be cleared by stopping, turning off the ignition, and starting
again and it's fine. It's alerting you that it is in 'Limp Home' mode

for operation sake they dont neccessarily have to go back the exact same path but you should note exactly what the wires are close to and make sure they are not near anything that can rub a hole in there insulation or near the exhaust. other then that you should be fine rerouting if neccessary for ease of operation. cheers
let me know if you need anything else.
If the engine is revving but the car doesn't move faster , I would be looking at the clutch or Gearbox.Sounds like the clutch is slipping. Have your mechanic check it out. Hope this helps.
Having a similar problem with my Disco. Talked to a couple guys I know who done a lot of work on them and you might check the O2 sensors and/or the spark plugs. My Disco kinda pulses during acceleration especially when you first crank up. When it warms up is smooths out. If that is what you mean by running rough. If your more chugging like the car just doesn't got it, it more likely a fuel flow issue.
Last thing cause it would be the most expensive. Your computer could be crapping out. The Disco doesn't have a mechanical distibutor. It is all done by computer and that could going.
Hope this gets you started.
