Why do you want to know you can't gap plugs anymore as that will break the modern plugs their pergapped and if you try to change the gap you'll break the plug so don't try it. They don't sell plugs that are gapped wrong and they break if you try to change the gap anyway. If the emissions sticker does'nt have a gap listed ( it probly doesn't ) the plugs that fit the truck can't be changed except by wear. 50 thou or more you might be able to measure the difference between a new plug and the ones in the truck. If your going to the troble of removing any put in new ones and new wires too.

Did tune up on my 91 ford f150 302 5.0L V8 4x4 pick up which included s[ark plugs and wires, cap and rotor, oil change, new oil and air filters...now it is riding rougher and worse gas mileage than before?...

did you properly "gap" the spark plugs? many spark plugs have to have the ends properly "gapped" before installation, by using a "gapping" tool/wheel to properly space the arc gap to the correct distance.

if the plugs were properly gapped, or already came pre-gapped out of the box for your specific vehicle, then you may have air getting into the cylinders around the spark plugs. were you careful to properly tighten the spark plugs straightly into place, or is there a chance that you left one loose, or, even worse, cross-threaded one of the spark plugs?

What is the spark plug gap setting for a Ford F150 302 V8. Thanks as ever larryjar [email protected]

it should be .054 however You should always use the sticker under the hood of your vehicle. If for some reason your says .052-.056, then that is what you use. The stickers on the truck will have the most specific info for that truck of anything. I need the year to be more sure, also when you buy the plugs, the parts store can tell you the exact gap.

Miss firing

could be a wire crossed, or it's out of time. since you used motorcraft plugs, did you set them properly to the correct gap? replacing plugs without gapping them can cause the sluggishness, out of time can cause the mis-fires and rough running.
