Test the electrical circuits ! Look at a wiring diagram to see what all is involved in making those systems work . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size . Under system click on body & accessories then under subsystem click on power windows . Click the search button then the blue link. no idea but i have the same problem on my 82 z, did you ever figure it out? im guessing its also your power door locks? and fuses on passenger side are fine. wish i could help but im in the same boat.
I would suspect a faulty ignition switch causing all the electrical issues. There are 3 distinct circuits running from the ignition switch, it sounds like one of them are faulty and not allowing power to certain circuits. Best to have it diagnosed at a reliable auto shop.
I dont see if the turn signal light has to do any thing with the engine shutting off, make sure the IAC idle air control valve is working, air filter is good, fuel filter is good and IF your vehicle has a power steering pressure switch then that could be causing it but with 1985 Crown Vic I dout it.
Ok those problems do not seem inter-related. Seems like you first have a problem with your power steering pressure switch which is connected with your idle air control valve. If your idle air control valve doesnt put more air in the engine when you're turning your steering wheel it can cause your engine to cut off because it is not receiving a signal from the power steering switch. As far as your car overheating, check your coolant reservoir, leaking radiator or broken thermostat.
i`ve worked on inter coolers fiddly but not impossible . my tip would be take the old one out then put it back in . a little practice before fitting the new one.joe
there is a big conector coming from the steering colum, and is goin to the turn signal switch turn the signal on and test that you have a blinking power, at two cables then turn the other side on and do the same, if you have not power on two cables per side then you need a new turn signal switch, just make sure not to test any thing with yellow color because that's going to the air bag and you might deploy the air bag.
