I am working on a 2000 suzuki esteem 4 door with a 1.8 litter to car bogs down as if it has now power even when its in park or neutral you can't get more then 2000 rpms on it and it bogs down

Probably a clogged catalytic convertet. One sure way to test that theory is to unhook the exhaust pipe from the catalytic converter and try then. It will be loud but if the converter was clogged you will have your power back. Replace converter if you have power after the test.

I'm working on a 2000 suzuki esteem 4 door car it acts like its not getting enough fuel but has good fuel pressure

The air filter is okay?
Personally, I would look at the MAF sensor - try disconnecting the electrical connector and driving the car. A warning light will appear on your dashboard, yes .. but if the car behaves as it should that points towards a faulty maf sensor.

Also try removing and cleaning your EGR valve

Here's a couple of links that may help:

Troubles with MAF sensor

MAF Sensor Suzuki Esteem

problems with egr valve and catalytic converter for suzuki esteem 98

You can also try disconnecting the O2 sensor - see what the car runs like.

My advice would be to NOT follow all the advice you get. Try things yourself. Your car runs ... but somewhere in the MAF sensor- EGR valve - O2 sensor there's a glitch. Do the simple things first - disconnect the MAF, clean the EGR ..

Cranks and idles good but will not accellerate no codes on engine fuel pump pressure 38to41 new fuel regulator , cat conv punched out 98 Suzuki Esteem

1998

1.6L or the 1.8L

good pressure. no melted cat.

so what engine,, (but both are MAF based systems)soooooo

low power, all the time. lits call it bogs. (3letters)

elaborate that, when does power end.

hot , cold both engine temp?

only tip-in BOG... you move foot fast , it bogs then catches up.?

or you TIP-in and its bog city all the way to WOT. ( wide open throttle)

when was the last time car was DD, a daily driver.

last week ,month or decade? key question.

bad fuel of over 6months old fuel?

here are the tests.

1: all fuses good. (always for ever and ever)

2: key on,

3: the dash lights up , oil, charge, and CEL, is the CEL on, it must be.

4: start car, CEL goes out , does it, stay out running???????

5: bogs, hot ,or cold engine block?

6: no codes, does that mean an OBD2 scan tool shows no DTCs stored, and no pendings, and all monitors complete, no it wont

with the CAT gutted,, it will show P0420x for ever. bad dead cat.

what does no code mean.

here is a oBD2 1996 scan of the G16b ENGINE,

the J18 engine would do same......

http://www.fixkick.com/ECU/Authority/A_Full_OBD2_scan.html

see the tests. here.

bogging with either engine, hard lasting hot bogging, is:

in no order... fate is random , in many cases...

1: low fuel pressure, (not you) stated for full correct.

2: clogged injectors.

3: bad fuel.

4: weak maf, ECU cant tell weak , only dead. or just a dirty maf. ask.!

one way to prove a WEAK maf, is to unplug it

the ECU then see that and creates a virtual simulated MAF.

it will not have full power, but will have lots.

it will run in suzuki limphome mode, with retarded timing, and low power and limted RPM.

it will suck fuel.

i never do it because i have the outputs logged. i use a voltmeter

Ford f250 runs ruff and will not idle

fuel pressure should be 35 - 45 psi.could have faulty tps sensor.could have intake vacuum leak or ignition timing valve timing off due to worn timing chain.do engine vacuum test replace all vacuum hoses bad leaking egr valve diaphram or gasket will cause engine run poorly.

Starts and runs but when you give it gas it bogs down

Check fuel pressure it's very common it should at least 45 to 65 at idle , if its not replace fuel pump , ,

My 94 grand prix 3.1 stalls and sometimes will shut down at crusing speed replaced fuel filter, throttle control sencer, idle contol valve. engine ligt will go on and off. when you let off the gas it runs...

You need to get the trouble codes. The engine light is telling you that. There must be a stored code or two. See what they are and go from there. If no codes are present, have the fuel pressure checked for possible pump failure.
If fuel pressure is correct (check specs, but probably about 45 psi) , then maybe an engine sensor is bad-maybe the MAF sensor. That's just a guess, though. Could be a bad computer, since it stalls at cruising, but could also be a problem in the ignition circuit-like the crank sensor or cam sensor.

2000 Suzuki Esteem (1.8) Fuel System

No SYMPTOMS stated, (sadly)
the J18 engines, twin cam, chain drive cam, nice motor.
an under stroked, J20. it is.. and share most parts.

alldata.com covers it.... and all cars... mostly.
for sure esteems (used books real off Ebay, if lucky, do a watch on ebay)?
and for sure Suzuki, the FSM is $4 to read. and posted 100 time here. (more ) this the real deal, (McCoy)
https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1182-2000-esteem-service-manual.aspx

the filter, and pump , no need to replace pump unless
it has 12vdc to IT CRANKING< and filter is new. AND, pressure is out of spec. (see spec, below)
a gauge is $20 and way more easy to use than a bath in gasoline
for sure.and a $10 voltmeter from walfart.

now the Esteem secret (just in CASE)
"Remove rear seat cushion, rear right seat back, right side sill scuff, right front partition trim and right rear door opening trim."
bingo, a secret access port.

now the spec.
31-37 ?idle PSI
this is the fuel pressure at the rail, at idle.
cranking is 6 PSI more
driving up hill, wide open throttle, pressure rises to 3- 6psi more that idle. (near)
if pressure is low, check for 12vdc to pump, first.
then make sure the FPR works.
they can stick open closed or jam. and it must work right. or fueling will be ALL wrong. (cars this old FPR love to fail)
this engine ECU has program revision (flash) that causes
pump to not run key on, (read TSBs on same at suzuki...)

so, crank it and check pressure cranking if not starting?
or if it does start (you never said) then check at idle
and WOT. the PSI ( then gun throttle see pressure jump way higher) if all this pans out, forget pump, and FPR.

did you scan the PCM yet, that be like first..
all scan tools (real) work on 2000 cars.... all do.
