With a spark plug wrench. you probley have inverted plugs so the wires will have long boots on them.i would replace one at a time to insure you keeps the wires in the right fireing order.

Where are the Spark Plugs located in a 2004 Lincoln Navigator?

Hello, first how many miles do you have on this Lincoln? On that 4.6 L V8 engine they do have spark plugs but each plug has it's own spark coil located on a long rubber plug. You will see four little coils on each side of the engine. There will wires going in to the individual coils. There will be a bracket the holds the coils in place with a small 9 or 10 mm nut. Remove the nut, and gently pull on eac coil. There Hello, first how many miles do you have on this Lincoln? If you have over 120 thousand miles on this engine then it might need new spark plugs. There will wires going in to the individual coils. There will be a bracket the holds the coils in place with a small 9 or 10 mm nut. Remove the nut, and gently pull on each coil. There a long rubber plug that fit in each spark hole. These rubber plugs are about 4 1/2 to 5 inches long.

Before removing the plug use an air hose with 50 to 60 lbs of pressure to blow each spark plug hole out which might have foreign object in the hole. Why, if you remove the spark plugs, and there is foreign material in that plug hole. Guess what, that stuff will fall into the combustion camber.

Then you will really have some problem. How fix if stuff fall into the combustion camber.

Squirt small amount of oil in the combustion camber, unplug all the coils and clear out there plug hole. Now remove all the spark plugs. Now, you can crank the engine and will the little amount in that cylinder that has the junk in it. The oil will wet the foreign debrie, and blow it out the spark plug hole. Then use a clean rag with with some oil it with a long screw driver to clean that spark plug hole Be careful that don't push the foreign material back into the combustion camber. Do this several time with little amount of oil.

Now, you can install the new spark plugs. On the spark plugs threads use some anti-shiz grease. Why squirt oil into the combustion camber? The oil is used to seal the rings on the piston to increase the cylinder compression. Just a small amount goes a long ways. GB...stewbison

Engine turns over but is not firing ,where should i start to diagnose

With that vehicle, the first thing I would do is pull a spark plug wire and see if you are getting any spark. If there is no spark at the plug, I would pull the coil wire off of the distributor and see if there is any spark there. If there is no spark there, I would replace the TFI Module. (Also known as "distributor module" or "ignition module"

If you have spark, then I would check for fuel at the injectors. That vehicle should be equipped with TBI injection. (Fuel injectors located in the throttle body) You should be able to see fuel spraying out of the injectors when cranking the engine over. If fuel is not spraying from the injectors, then you need to check fuel pressure. (You will need a gauge for this)
If there is no fuel pressure, I would check to make sure the inertia switch is not tripped. If that is OK, you most likely have a bad fuel pump.

My 1998 cadillac seville was running fine and just stopped. Now it wont start it is getting 10 psi fuel . the injectors are pulsing. we get spark . and we checked the timing ang it seams to be holding...

So you have used the Noid lights to see if the computer is pulsing the Injectors, and you have GOOD Kv on the spartk minimum 25-30 Kv's?

Also it might get gas but how much gas? you need to perform a volume test there is a certain amount of fuel the car needs her minute to sustain demand load variations.

Is it port injection or thortle body? What engine is ? if its port injection your fuel pressure is to low , if its a throtle boty i think 15-18 is minimum to keep the car running, might have a bypassing fuel pump in the tank.

Need more info.

Does fuel pump have a reset

Can you hear the pump run when you turn the key on? Remember that system is pressurized and will easily spill because of this. There is no reset for fuel pumps, that's on Fords. If you pour gas into the intake it starts, then I would tell you to take a long handled screwdriver or a stetoscope if you have one and place it on one of the fuel injectors and listen when someone cranks the engine. If you don't hear the clicking of the injector while cranking, then your problem is not fuel related. Maybe crank sensor, or even computer. The computer not the module is what controls the fuel injection. The module controls spartk just to let you know. Try getting a trouble code...Hopefully this gets you in the right direction. Good luck.
