Idont know if it a common fault with a benz,but I assume you know what is wrong .I will tell you anyway and you can do what you will. what is happening is theoil cooler lines from the transmission is cracked or broken inside the bottom tank of the radiator,it is no big deal to get the radiator repaired ,but it needs to be done straight away and the transmission needs to be drained and flushed with a new filter installed.if perchancethis has happened before the the repair in the radiator has failed and you need to get a new radiator.
