The starter is on the driver's side of the engine. There may be an oxygen sensor bracket in the way to accessing it. If so, remove the harness to the sensor using your hands and unbolt the bracket from the engine using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. if you have to follow the battery lead.

I have a 2001 Mustang Saleen that I just rebuilt motor, made all connection. Also replaced original Alarm harness with new one because old one was bad, made sure all connection were identical but now can't...

Check to make sure you have power to starter with multimeter at starter. If there is, replace starter. If not, trace ignition circuit back from starter.

2001 mustang gt,all access. work fully charged

I would suspect the starter solenoid has failed.

A starter solenoid (or starter relay) is the part of an automobile which relays a large electric current to the starter motor, which in turn sets the engine in motion. In many vehicles the solenoid also engages the starter pinion with the ring gear of the engine.

The starter solenoid receives a large electric current from the car battery and a small electric current from the ignition switch. When the ignition switch is turned on, a small electric current is sent to the starter solenoid. This causes the starter solenoid to close a pair of heavy contacts, thus relaying a large electric current to the starter motor, which in turn sets the engine in motion. The starter motor is an electric motor that initiates piston motion in a car's internal combustion engine before it can power itself.

2001 Mustang will not start. Most excesories work but engine will not crank. When key is twisted to start position all it does is click.

Check the battery terminals for lose connections.
Check the starter motor, it could be the solenoid switch.
