If you brought your car to Honda for service, they probably forgot to reset the maintenance reminder. If you took it to another shop, they probably did not know how to reset it. Anyway, the reset procedure is:
Put your key in the ignition
Turn the key to the II position for a couple of seconds
Then turn the key to the off position
Now push and hold in the odometer reset button
While still holding the odometer reset button, turn the key back to the II position
Hold for I think 10 seconds or so and your maintenance reminder light should reset it self.

I own a honda integra 91 i just used a semi senthetic 10w-40 engine oil as this is what the honda dealership reccomended to me and it worked fine integras of this year have the same gearbox as the civics so should work fine in yours all you can do is trust the specs on the store computer or alternatively give the nearest dealership a ring and ask one of the mechanics what to use

Your guess would be as good as mine, DON'T GUESS with these newer fully computerized vehicles. However common reasons for this light to come on can vary, like depending on mileage may be a bad (02) Oxygen sensors etc. Here is my recommendation take this vehicle to an AUTO-ZONE in your neighborhood and have them put it on a code scanner to see why light is ON. ITS FREE, then I would be more than glad to provide any other needed assistance. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX

Are you positive it is the oil light .. If it is then it could be an issue with your oil pump...
