The B1 notification light came on a few months ago and I took my car in to be serviced. My light just came on again to get my oil changed and it popped up with B1 service again. I drive a fair amount, but it seems ridiculous that I would need to get all of those things "checked" again. What are the odds of this and is it really necessary to get this service done again?

If you brought your car to Honda for service, they probably forgot to reset the maintenance reminder. If you took it to another shop, they probably did not know how to reset it. Anyway, the reset procedure is:

Put your key in the ignition
Turn the key to the II position for a couple of seconds
Then turn the key to the off position
Now push and hold in the odometer reset button
While still holding the odometer reset button, turn the key back to the II position
Hold for I think 10 seconds or so and your maintenance reminder light should reset it self.

SOURCE: manual transmission oil or fluid

I own a honda integra 91 i just used a semi senthetic 10w-40 engine oil as this is what the honda dealership reccomended to me and it worked fine integras of this year have the same gearbox as the civics so should work fine in yours all you can do is trust the specs on the store computer or alternatively give the nearest dealership a ring and ask one of the mechanics what to use

SOURCE: Check Engine Light

Your guess would be as good as mine, DON'T GUESS with these newer fully computerized vehicles. However common reasons for this light to come on can vary, like depending on mileage may be a bad (02) Oxygen sensors etc. Here is my recommendation take this vehicle to an AUTO-ZONE in your neighborhood and have them put it on a code scanner to see why light is ON. ITS FREE, then I would be more than glad to provide any other needed assistance. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX

How do you reset the fuel system warning light on the dashboard? Had a service about 2 months ago.

You need a scan tool to clear fault lights.

There is no point in clearing the warning. If the warning is there then you have an issue that needs to be investigated. If the problem resolved itself the warning light would disappear next time you turned off the car and restarted it..

You need to have the car professionally scanned so the mechanic can see what the issue is and have the problem properly diagnosed.

It is irrelevant that you had the car serviced 2 months ago and the fuel system issue that you have now has nothing to do with a routine service which is primarily changing the engine oil and oil filter and a few other basic maintenance procedures. . If you do not address the issue the car may stop on you, leave you stranded and you won't be able to re-start it.

If you need reliable daily car transport I would not be messing around hoping this type of fuel system related problem will disappear because 99.999% it will not..

ACURA TL SERVICE DUE SOON B1

It's a service interval reminder light that you should take your car to acura and have them perform the "b1" service. I would ask for an estimate first, and ask what that service includes. You may be surprised to find necessary and unecessary services. Some people view the b1 light as a way for Acura to get you car in there, quite possibly be charged for things you could probably do yourself.

Had a Hyundai like that 27 years ago. Until I took it totally apart and re-assembled it myself. 2 years ago bought a Piaggio 45 cc motorbike, same story. Took that apart one night and put it together as should be.
