On the 3 different engines (4 cyl & both V6s) on LH side (radiator side) below the exhaust manifold. All have two14mm bolts mounting them to the engine. ILLUSTRATION:
Could you explain a little better please. The cooling fan for the radiator, the a/c inside the car or both? And what what exactly is or is not working, and did you pigtail it yet? From your description I can't quite figure those questions out.Just comment to this post and I will get an auto email saying you did and will get back to you ASAP.Thanks,Greg
hi, sounds like a clogged radiator, i have seen this problem in other hyundai cars, not on the santa fe though. if you have availibility to a large floor mounted or post mounted fan(just about any larger fan will work) put it in front of the radiator when it is over heating and see if the temp cools at all. there maybe either be something clogging the flow on the outside of the radiator, or possibly inside the radiator. The only other thing to check is the thermostat, stuck thermostats can go either way, stuck closed or open. or even partially open so as to restrict flow greatly. it would be a good idea to have it replaced no matter what you find actually causing the overheat condition. hope this helps.
There is a cooling fan switch normally located near the thermostat housing or in the head near the thermostat housing. check this and see if it is defective.
The radiator cooling fans are not coming on for some reason...It is probably a fuse...check all of your fuses...there should be a fuse that just runs the cooling fans...look around the drivers side near the hood release for the fuse box
