2000 dodge durango cooling issue: I HAVE THE 5.2L 2WD. I have replaced the water pump, thermostat 3 times, hoses, fan clutch. To begin with ive had it tested at three places no one can figure out why exactly its over heating. so first recomended thermostat, then fan clutch and pulley tensioner and belt, so i did all that. Still overheated so changed thermo agian, now ive repaced the water pump and thermo 3rd time still slowly over heats, this whole time ive had good pressure and flow, o ya i als changed my radiator cap, ive also been told by my mechanic he did a pressure test for casket leaks but it checked out fine , theres no leaks anywhere no oil in my coolant and no coolant in my oil. he has also did the temp test on my radiator to see if there were any cool spots he saw nothing but a slightly by one or 2 degrees diffrence in the center of the radiator. he assumes it becuase of my elecrtic fan and the one on my pump are there

My son has a 2014 D250 ram that had a heating problem. The shop changed the t state, water pump and tested for a bad head gasket. It still overheated under a load. Had them pull the radiator to check the flow and it was plugged. New radiator, end of problem.

I had the same problem with my 1998 Durango overheating when stuck in traffic. Replaced thermostat, fan clutch, water pump and nothing worked. Finally installed a new radiator and that fixed the problem.

I'm having trouble with overheating my 2000 5.9L 4x4 Dodge Durango. I've replaced the thermostat, fan clutch, water pump & still running hot heater core.would flushing cooling system fix my problem

The radiator is most likely plugged. Flushing is the least expensive way to try to fix the problem. It may not clear a severely plugged radiator. Watch the lower radiator hose with the engine running. Accelerate the engine. If the hose tries to collapse, then the radiator is definitely plugged.

Dodge durango 2004 hemi over heating after all the repairs i have done new radiator, water pump hoses , clutch fan, radiator cap and 3 different thermostats,

The cooling system has to be bleed of air.To do this locate the bleeder on the coolant inlet on engine. Remove the bleeder and the radiator cap, fill with coolant until there are no more air bubbles coming out of bleeder. Top off resivor close bleeder replace cap. Start and let it get to normal operating temp, If all is good now you are finished. If it still overheats let it cool off until there is no pressure on upper hose .Carefully remove cap and repeat bleeding process

2004 Dodge Durango 5.7 hemi over heating i have replaced radiator, fan clutch, hoses, radiator cap, 3 thermostats and water pump whats next

Sounds like head gasket has gone. Hot gas from the fuel combustion is being forced through holes in the head gasket into the cooling system, causing hot bubbles in the coolant, sniff the bubbles blowing out of the reservoir, does it smell like fuel?

When you fill the radiator, did you make sure the car heater was set to Full Hot? If not, there could be an airlock in the water system. This can give the symptoms you describe.

My upper radiater hose blew n engine over heated. I installed a new hose n replaced fluids. engine overheated again. did not blow though

check the serpentine belt for slipping, the clutch fan, the thermostat(might be stuck closed) or maybe it is a circulation issue, you can check the radiator and radiator cap for defects and sediment buildup.
you might be able to confirm circulation problem if you turn heat on and it doesn't overheat.
