One by one, all power windows stopped working in my 96 honda civic lx. How do you determine if it is a fuse, regulator???

check the auto lock switch on drivers door that could be another thing to look at

Why do you think the Distributor is out? It's not hard to replace if you have the Haynes repair manual for your vehicle and understand how to get to TDC and line up everything. But it is very rare that a Distributor goes out. If it is not turning it is more likely that your timing Belt has broken than the distributor going bad.

You are suggested to check the all fuses of you car and do also check the battery if have passed above 10 months .

before replaceing check voltage from switch to regulator then to motor that will tell you which component is bad when you find that out look at the mounting styl off the failed component mos are held in with clips or rivets if they are riveted in you will have to drill them out

your window motor is broke. or bad wireing in switch. most likely motor though.

a defective or blown fuse would cause all the windows to stop working, so that is not te problem, most likely the electric motor that moves the window is defective inside the door.

I just replaced the regulator in my mother's 98 civic ex and didnt need any special tools. I do recommend replacing the glass run channels on either side of the window. I have replaced the regulator twice and it is still having problems as I haven't replaced the run channels. If not replaced very soon I can see myself replacing the regulator...yet again!

THE DEALER SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL YOU BY THE VIN NUMBER IF THE CAE CAME WITH A FACTORY KEYLESS ENTERY THAN YOU CAN BUY THE REMOTE PAD AND PROGRAM IT
