2003 Ford Focus: Pulls Codes P0751, Shift Solenoid A, P2004 Control manifold runner stuck open, and P0752 Shift solenoid a circuit stuck on. I have changed the Solenoid A and my car still has a hard time shifting. It takes forever to get into 3rd or 4th gear and I have really high RPMs to get it to shift. Transmission shop ran codes and said I needed to change solenoid D. Cannot find any info on solenoid D, just A any help would be appreciated

Sometimes with code readers they get confused an just throw any old codes . Have it checked by someone with GM Tech 2 scan tool .

2003 ford focus 2.3 litre DTC P2004 intake manifold runner control stuck open. What does it mean when it says shorted to VREF or signal circuit shorted open or shorted to VPWR.

code p 2004 refers to intake manifold air control actuator bank 1--actuator stuck open===causes --wiring--intake manifold air control actuator---mechanical fault
it also refers to intake manifold air control solenoid bank 1--solenoid stuck open=== causes --wiring---intake manifold air control solenoid---mechanical fault
reference auto data technical fault codes
I cannot find reference to the VREF or VPWR as they may be referenced in a ford workshop manual so you may have to ask a ford service person what they stand for but I suspect that they will come back to the same thing as listed in the causes

04 Focus coding P2004 and P0411 what does this mean?

Your P2004 code relates to inlet manifold air control actuator or solenoid on bank 1 stuck open, your code PO411 relates to secondary air injection system, (AIR ) incorrect flow detected. Obviuosly both codes are linked to one fault,

Sounds like you need to cover basics first. The battery cables are clean and tight? Are all the wires in the battery cable at the battery making a good connection? Sounds like a common problem and is in the service bullitins is that the ground wire attached to the battery cable end that goes to the body and then to the transmission case bolt has failed to provide a good ground and the acuators and servos and even the switches have'nt a good path to ground ( their is one but it's though other controllers and the power isn't strongly grounded. I f you were following a dianostic tree of good and bad the ground is the number one cause of your problem. Don't fix the old grounds just add new ones. and then clear codes and test it again. Oil leaks near the transmission to engine connection were found by me everytime that I was assigned to this set of problems. Ground corrected and the car was fixed.

Check engine light on, code is p2004, manifold runner or vac line leak. car runs fine can't pass emmission testing, where should we start to look first?

P2004 is intake manifold runner stuck open control bank 1. This code should be related to your EVAP system. Did you try resetting the ECM and then the light came back on? If so, did you look at the readiness status? After driving the car awhile different systems should have come out of default and one should have been listed "not complete". Which one was it?
Start by looking for pinched or broken vacuum lines, oil dip-stick not in place or oil fill-cap missing, maybe a missing or defective gas-cap. Anything further would take the use of special tools and a look at live data, to hopefully narrow this down. Good luck.
