Good Evening. Unfortuantely there is no easy path to a right answer here without removing the skid plate. In front of the engine are transmission cooler lines and other miscellania. The best advice i could give you is take down the skid plate and have a can of brake cleaner handy to clean everything off while you have it turned off then have someone turn it on for you so you can visually see where it is coming from. Hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Hello my son has a Hyundai Santa Fe and its leaking through the front gasket of the transmission how much will it cost to get fixed
The leak is most likely coming from the oil cooler lines that run from the transmission to the cooler mounted in front of the radiator. Remove the front fascia (bumper) and the skid plate. You will need to replace the oil cooler lines. These cost about $60 from the dealer. Cut the metal lines near where they go under the radiator, unbolt the bracket that holds the lines to the radiator. Work the new lines under the radiator. Easier if you remove them from the two brackets. Re-attach the new lines to the new brackets and slip the rubber hoses onto the new lines. Use the original clamps. Check for leaks and top off the fluid before putting the bumper and skid plate back on.

It really depends on where the leak is, if it is cooler lines it could get spendy, rear seal not so bad, pan gasket, not so bad, if you could let me know where it is leaking i could get you a better idea of cost.
