I've already replaced my throttle body because the sensor went bad, now my car will all the sudden rev up even if I'm going at a steady speed. Now my check engine light has come on and when I look where it tells me on my dash that I'm in drive all I see is a box with a line in the middle and a diagonal line through it. its an 06 suzuki forenza what's wrong?

Go to autozone get the codes read then go to a suzuki dealer. There was an issue with the shift solenoids in the transmission and they were dealer only parts. And its not a computer technician. Automotive technicians are ase certified (most pf the time).

Hi, Sorry to inform you but you need to get it into a computer technician (they call them today) you need to have the computer & computer programme to fix the problem, should not take a long time once reset. Please give feedback at [email protected] Thanks, Malcolm Campbell.

SOURCE: would you say suzuki forenza 06 is a good car to buy?

They have been doing well and there problems are fewer than most. Sounds like you have a pretty good car. Have those trouble codes checked and repaired though so it does'nt cause problems down the road. Good luck.

SOURCE: 06 Suzuki Forenza make a loud clicking noise.

Your car is from 2006 how come it needs a timing belt ( do you drive 20K per year? ). What is wrong with the drive belt. The sound from belt is not a clicking noise.
Any way try to avoid that dealer. What a baloney.

When you start the car, open the hood try to identify where the noise comes from.

1-If it comes from the top engine, open your oil cap, to see if oils splattered from mechanical movements. Usually oil is not enough then it takes time to travel to the cam shaft and the lifters that why after making noise a while then the engine becomes quite since it gets lubricated. How long have you been from last oil changed?

2-If it comes from the front engine try to identify if it comes from Power steering or AC. Check Power-steering fluid to see it it needs filled up. Check this before starting the engine.
Try to turn on AC to see if the noise more or less so you can determine the AC clutch is bad.

Hope you can find the source for a good fix.

SOURCE: my 06 suzuki forenza starts leaking oil,is that a

That depends entirely from where the oil is leaking: best case = if it's just an imperfect seal probably all you'll need is to tight up some screws; worst case = the engine block is cracked, it must be replaced.

SOURCE: does my 06 suzuki forenza have a chip in the key?

No, no chip in the key. I just went and bought 4 of them from Home Depot to have all over the place due to losing them all the time--like the time my wife lost her keys down the elevator shaft.....whole 'nother story!

What are the symptoms of a defective throttle position sensor

Surging while steady on the accelerator is a clue as well as taking foot off accelerator and vehicle maintains a speed without cruise control on. Could be that the throttle body itself is dirty. Remove throttle body Use carb cleaner spray liberally. After 10 Minutes reinstall and test. If that fails, replace tps sensor.

  1. Stuck throttle linkage or accelerator pedal;
  2. Loose butterfly on throttle body;
  3. Stuck or malfunctioning idle air controller;
  4. Loose or damaged throttle body or bad throttle body gasket;
  5. Cracked intake manifold or bad intake manifold gasket;
  6. Bad ignition control module.

1994 buick park avenue redlines on its own

You may have a bad ground (check a wiring diagram for where these are--the Haynes manual has good diagrams). Or, the throttle position sensor (TPS) is faulty, and should be replaced.

Engine doen't stay idle at steady rpms rev up and down by itself

Either you have a vacuum leak, a bad throttle body position sensor, or a bad throttle body.

If the throttle body is drive by wire (electronic) then it would be a bad throttle body.

If the throttle body is drive by cable (manually driven by a cable connected to the gas peddle) then it would be a bad throttle position sensor.

If the throttle body is bad the check engine light wil lbe on. If it is on have your codes read at your local parts dealer for free, and this will give you a clue as to which pices/parts you need to replace.

Have the car leak tested and the vacuum linse inspected for leaks as well.
