How about anti theft device? Got one? Check for spark. If you can get a scanner, check for the crank sensor, Can only be so many things. If it is cranking over, it needs gas and spark, if either of those aren't there, find out why. Coil pack shot, Fusible link gone, relay gone, circuit breaker. I am guessing here.I would be checking everything from the obvious to the extreme. Try squirting some fuel into a cylinder to see if it will fire on that, after you check for spark.
Try turning your head lights on, have someone look at lights while you try to start, if lights dim while doing that; may be bad starter

Does it crank? Got gas? Can you hear the fuel pump? What was wrong with the battery? Are the terminals clean? Any dash lights coming on,? Check this stuff out.
it has gas, after putting in the new battery that was dead, car still won't start. Lights go on and terminals are clean.
