I wouldnt even try to hazard a guess without a test drive ,sorry -ask a local mechanic to have a drive and post what he says then we can try to work it out a bit better and come up with alternatives to check for

This noise is caused by the belt tensioner pulley - solution is to replace the assembly. If the noise is only present when the engine is cold, it could be the exhaust manifold.
