My 91 f 250 everytime i turn the key over it just makes a clicking noise

A weak battery will make the lights come on & energize the solenoid for the starter, but the battery is too weak to make the starter motor turn. Checking the battery would be first, the solenoid second.

clean battery posts and cable ends and make sure to tighten securely when done

Is the A/C on? Without more information it sounds like the compressor might be locking up and the clicking might be the A/C clutch engaging, the belt squeal will be the compressor trying to turn.

Any clicking noises? My first thought is lithe starter has failed. Typically if all the other accessories are working and the starter doesn't when you turn the key it's likely the starter. Usually an a single click is heard everytime you turn the key to the start position. If you heard a series of rapid clicks when you try to start you likely have a weak battery. A jump start may get you going.

the metal on metal noise is the starter hitting the fly wheel. it just need to be adjusted there are shims to add

Double check your battery connections. If the battery is new and the starter makes a series of clicking noises when the key is held in the start position than you are not getting a good power supply to the starter or there is not a sufficient ground.

Wished i had a shekel for everytime i try to find a noise like this ,you think its the front right and its the left rear i think your mechanic is correct

yes it sounds like the starter is bad,you have to keep on turning the key and you hear a click everytime you turn the key,replace the starter that should solve that problem,also make sure your battery connections are tight and clean.

the cobalts have a very thin walled exhaust and also have a heat shield wraped muffler, the clicking noise you are refering to im guessing is more of a "tink" noise? if it is, its the exhaust cooling down and contracting

Either the turn switch/relay is bad, or the flasher which is located above the fuse box needs to be replaced.
