Hi! You may have a ball joint and stabilizer bushing problem. They may be worn and can cause rattling sound. Once replaced you'll be good. Hope this helps and have a good one!

A rattle in the front end is a pretty vague description. This could be caused by struts, loose mounts, loose wheels, engine mounts or almost anything else but may I suggest you check the sway bar bushes located at the end of the sway bar, this is the most common cause of rattles in these vehicles. I also suggest you check every other bolt you can see in the front end, then look for more and check those too. Every rattle has potential to be dangerous, especially suspension faults, I suggest that you take your car to a competent mechanic as anything you touch in relation to suspension could kill you or someone else, I have seen it happen. I hope this helps and good luck.

I had this and it was the brake calipers; the pads were worn out and the calipers were loose.

Front end equinox

Does it make the noise (or does the noise get louder) when you're cornering? And is it worse when you turn in one direction than it is when you turn the opposite direction? If so it sounds to me like one or both of your constant velocity (CV) joints is/are worn.

CV joints are front wheel drive's equivalent to U joints, you'll find one in each half-shaft (that connects the transaxle to each of the front wheels.) CV joints are protected from road dirt by rubberized boots; any damage to a boot is often followed by premature failure of the joint.

Your tire shop or general mechanic should be able to easily tell you if this is the problem. Luckily there isn't a great deal of danger associated with CV joint failure (as opposed to U joint failure on a rear-wheel drive car, which has potential to be extremely dangerous) but you should still get it checked out soon, to make sure there's nothing else going on, if no other reason.

Good luck!

Hitting bumps causes rattling in front end

Check the front suspension. Could be numerous of things. Sway links could be worn out, front struts could be time to replace, or a engine or transmission mount is bad.

What is making a rattle noise in the front?

Check all the bushings and make sure they are not loose. General Motors bushings are prone to cracking.

Low speed rattle from front end --especially when right front tire hits a small bump.

If the problem goes away when brake is applied, then a loose brake bad or missing pad clip is possible. Either way, you should have it inspected. A loose brake pad is not dangerous at all, but something else loose under there could be potentially catastrophic, such as a tie-rod end or a ball joint.

200 Camry LE, 77,000 miles. Rattling noise over bumps, car front end dives when breaks are applied hard, Car bounces a couple times when human oushes on front end

This sounds like a bad strut, one or both on the front has gone bad. Here is a picture of just the strut with out the spring. The price ranges from $65.00 to $220.00 depends on what you can afford. mcneb_0.jpg

Clunk noise from front left suspension

My guess is a strut bushing/bearing, but have your front end checked out by good shop to make sure it isn't something else more dangerous.
