I need to know what is wrong with my car? while i was driving my car to work my speedometer stopped working and then when i was on my way home from work my engine light went on can any body help me out with this problem

Could be a Bad VSS ( Vehicle Speed Sensor ) or an Electrical Problem for your Speedometer ! For Check Engine maybe a coincidence or a code telling a Sensor is Bad.. ! Most of the Subarau I saw from the year has a Check Engine with one or many code.. several time it's a Pcm Problem.. because all the code tell's you at the end if everything if fine : Change PCM.. so first i Would check your Vehicle Speed Sensor ! And Check the Code from the Check Engine !
