Cabin Filter Replacement: Ford F-350Super Duty 2008- 2016
My research indicates that your vehicle does not have a cabin air filter (also known as a pollen or AC filter). Vehicles without cabin air filters typically have a plastic mesh that prevents leaves and other foreign objects from entering the HVAC system. This mesh is part of the vehicle and does not need to be changed.
Back in 97 lots of models without aircon didn't have a cabin filter.
Most cars have the cabin filter located in the heater/ventilation air-box at the base of the windscreen; sometimes there is a panel that needs removing and sometimes there is a flap to provide access.
Vauxhall cars of the era (they are General Motors too) often needed the removal of the glovebox to provide access to a cover retained by 2 screws. It is wise to try and get the best access possible as invariably a good vacuum cleaner will be needed to clean the filter housing and surrounding area while replacing the filter.
For 2007 Audi A6 depending on the engine type, there are two placements for cabin air filters: 1. The cabin air filters are placed on the right bottom side of the central console - passenger side, for 2007 Audi A6 Avant. Remove the carpet and behind the plastic cover are cabin filters. When installing new filters see for the correct position - air flow is indicated by an arrow. See pictures below:
2. For the second placement, besides you need to remove the glove box for access and replace cabin air filters. Check first your car situation. If you will give me your e-mail address, I will send you photos with cabin filters replacement for 2007 Audi A6, because the www.fixya.com website is limited to 150 kb traffic.
Starting in 2003 the cabin air filter is no longer avail.as a factory option. The parts department will show a part number for it but there is no provision for the filter.Hope this helps and good luck.
These filters should both be replaced at the same time, every 6000 miles or every other oil change. However, the cabin filter almost always fouls up faster than the engine air filter, so maybe every 3000 miles for the cabin.
If no air is blowing. The resistor is blown. If that is the case check your cabin air filters. When they are clogged or dirty that’s when the resistor blows. There are two cabin air filters in the same compartment change both.
