that can be lots of things.
first off does it crank robustly , that is the starter motor cranks ok?
does it?
and then it fails to start.
the first check is to go a tune up.
the glove box car, operators manual shows. 60,000 mile
critical tunes, spark plugs. air filters ,etc. do those yet, ever?
hard starting can have a lot of reasons, but basics include needing a tune up, leaking fuel injectors or ignition module problem, low compression, weak electrical system (battery/alternator)-if we had more information like it starts well when cold but not hot, or it runs bad when it does run, you'd get a lot more specific conjectures.
Hows your oil level?When was the last oil change?May take more to get it started if oil is low or old.Oil turns to syrup in the cold.
Another possobilty is the cranking amps of the battery or the amount of power it will put out. A higher cranking amp battery will turn the engine more efficiently.
It could be a faulty Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. It sounds like when it is cold, your computer is interpreting your signal from the ECT
(or lack therof) as being at a certain temperature and not providing the right amount of fuel in order to start the engine when it is cold. Does the check engine light blink or flash at all?
