I would think a fuse is the culprit behind that check t your fuses and relays for the headlights... it may also be a short in the wiring as far the headlights go.. or quiet possibly the lights have blown

How do you remove a cigarette lighter socket

I'm assuming this is the lighter in the center console by the beverage holder? If not I'll need more details.
.
First you have to make sure the power is cut to it, so either pull the fuse or disconnect the battery. Warning, disconnecting the battery WILL reset things like radio settings and clocks.
.
Now get yourself a flat-head screwdriver. You want to carefully unsnap the front of the beverage holder console, and once the front is unsnapped you can lift it to unsnap the rear of the beverage holder console and remove it.

.
Now grasp the top part of the cigarette lighter's panel and pull it straight out. Make sure you don't yank on the electrical connections. I'd suggest unplugging them so you can work on the lighter easier.

.
From there you simply have to unscrew the retainer from the socket and remove the lighter.
.
If you're installing a new one, just reverse the process.

Fuse box,Trying to find out what fuse s for the lighter

If you'd like to take the time to look at all the fuses and see which one is blown, that's the 1 needing replaced. Normally a cigarette lighter fuse is a 10 amp ( Red ) fuse.

What's your problem? The horn won't work, the light that is supposed to go on when you open the doors won't work, the cigarette lighter won't work, and the head unit won't work

on 1987 all you mentioned are on same fuse #11 located in fuse box below steering wheel 3rd row 3rd fuse from left next to either a blank space if you do not have power windows,or next to silver circuit breaker if you do have power windows.

Cigarette Lighter not working

use a volt meter or 12 volt test light and see if voltage is present at the lighter, it is most likely a defective lighter.
