If you remove the console, I believe it is by simply pulling it very hard, and remove the electronics board, you will see several very small black with silver end components. Look at the ones near the LCD/LED display. One of them will have one end slightly raised off the board. That is were the solder has broken free. You need to press it back down and resolder it. This is a VERY common problem with the overhead displays, I fixed mine this way.

I have the same problem with my 04 f350. I pulled the circuit board and it's possible I have 2 chips missing.. I understand there should be 7 and I only have 5. My question is..is there a picture of the o4 circuit board that I can see and compare with mine...I can only fine an 02 Lariat....are the boards the same...? The 2 I am missing if I am would be 680 chips. Sure could use some help here...
