A couple of weeks ago I hit a pot hole that was covered in water and couldn't tell it was there until to late and my Lincoln Navigator 98' started shaking badly right after I hit the pot hole. Now every time I start the suv it shakes a lot. And when I press the gas to go it shakes even worse. And now the Engine light came on and keeps blinking. I was told it may just need a tune up. But it shakes way to much, and I no nothing about cars, what can be the problem? Please help!

It is most likely a coil electrical connection,or a coil that is shorted out,but you will have to have some one check the vehicle to see if that is the problem, from what you have said, this is the best solution .

What on or off advtrac the lincoln navigator

It is a near useless add-on to the ABS Braking System

It cuts off fuel injectors & thus engine power when you need
control over it,mostly slipping in snow

It on my Lincoln slams on the rear brake & you stuck in snow

If I ever found a way to cut the wires & shut it off I would make
it public knowledge

I have the wiring diagrams & have not yet worked too much on it

On my car Off is On & the owners manual couldn't be figured out
if you had a Doctorate Degree

If the Light is Off it is the system is on,go with that

06 Lincoln navigator front left air spring is flat and not operating

Try this from my previous post....

Have a similar problem... My 2003 Lincoln Navigator was manufactured May 22, 2003 so it's the late model that came with the Intec 5.4 Liter DOHC V-8 (not the Triton engine).

I replaced the two front ride height sensors (one for each air strut) and replaced the one rear ride height sensor that controls the ride height for BOTH rear air struts. (Yours may have one ride height sensor for each of the rear air struts.) That solved the problem for a few months during the warm months, until the weather started cooling off. Then back to the same issue.

The front passenger air strut started releasing air from the solenoid (air block) making a "hissing sound." Replaced BOTH front air strut solenoids (connected at the top of each air strut). That also resolved the problem for a few days. After going all around the world, I discovered it's the Air Ride Control Module (ASM) that was the problem all along.

I have a 04 Lincoln Navigator the air suspension keeps acting up some times it works just fine if it has been setting all night it will go all the way down and will sometimes air up and sometime it...

typical dealers response
indicates that there is a faulty non-return valve in the system that is passing air when sitting and allow air in and out when compressing
I would start by checking the valves at the discharge line at the compressor, working to the air reservoir valves then onto ride height control valves finishing with holes in the air suspension bags them selves
yes it work doing the checking but there is no real expense until you find the faulty part and I am sure that it will be less than the quote

I have a 2001 lincoln navigator an the rear end is sitting very low since 2 days ago and i have no idea how to trouble shoot it

Check fuses for the air pump. I think that has air ride and the pump is probably not working to air up the rear shocks. If you have the owners manual, look in the back for "Fuses" and go to that page. That will tell you where the fuses are and what they are for. Good Luck.

Rubbing noise from rear passenger side of an 03 navigator

I would guess it is a brake pad that is a little slow releasing sometimes.
