What are the torque settings for mounting an automobile air conditioner compressor on a 1995 buick century with a 3.1 engine

under the hood,passenger side, front of engine, passenger side of radiator,mounted on the relay panel (4or5 boxes) look for a long black thing and pull down on it, it take a #15 fuse. The fuel pump relay should be located here also.

A mechanic would check the system with a set of pressure gauges. If the compressor is running, the low side would read around 30psi and the high side would be around 250psi. That is how you know if the system is full of freon or not.
You may have to get a professional diagnosis to proceed. If you replace the compressor, the accumulator needs to be replaced and a vac pump is used to pull all of the air out before the freon is added.

Does the noise change or go away if you turn defrost on-which will engage the compressor-if so may be the clutch dragging.

Air Conditioner blows warm air

1. Air conditioner system is discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
2. Air conditioner compressor clutch not engaging. Check compressor clutch wiring, electrical connections and compressor clutch, and repair or replace as necessary.

look in the center of the firewall behind the engine for a black cap that looks like a tire valve stem cap ,......only larger

Take your pick since I don't know your engine size:



A/C compressor mounting-2.2L engine

should be handy enough just screw out put new one in
if your machine hard to start when heating in the morning ,wait twenty seconds after light goes out then crank it
heater relay still working when heat indicator light goes out

Usually inserted into the heater air duct. Either in the engine compartment on the passengers side or behind the glove box. Has a 3 or 4 terminal connector and it's mounted by 2 screws

If it's the 3.1 or the newer 3100 the starter should just be a couple 13 and 15mm bolts. Plus the nut for the cable. Hope this helps.
