You need to be more clearer with your question...not sure what you mean by "hand wire comes outside van"??? also not sure what you mean by "get buttons to open door" are you talking about the sliding side doors on your 2006 Montana.if so clean off the contacts they are located on the door post also on the door itself..hope this helps
Do you mean the outside latch handle or the inside one.. ?? if the outside one you will have to release the door manually .. which means you will have to take off the inner door panel and find the rod that goes to the latch,, follow that rod and you will find the latch.. release it open the door and replace the handle.
1) Key turns but dose not unlock door. This means that the rod that goes to the back of the lock has came off. This also means that is the reason door is not unlocking with the remote as it pops the lock rod inside the door which pushes the lock open. 2) Key does not turn lock at all but works passengers side door. This means that the locks has been changed in the door, but that doesn't sound like the problem as you say the remote doesn't open the drivers side door so more than likely the rod has came off the back of the lock
this means the car is going to lock when you shut the door or if you have locked the doors it will continue to flash, Sometime if you lock your car before the door it shut the car will ding and that will flash, I understand that this is just a reminder to remember your keys. There is a description of the warning lights in your owners manual if you don't have one you can read it here:

This isn't a technical answer, but this means the car is going to lock when you shut the door or if you have locked the doors it will continue to flash, Sometime if you lock your car before the door it shut the car will ding and that will flash, I understand that this is just a reminder to remember your keys. Hope that helps
in most cases that will mean that one of the door switches is reading incorectly, because it is shorted or open. one of your door switches most likely needs replacing, or it is frozen. you would be best to take it to a dealer so they can use the scan tool to see which door switch is malfunctioning, and then replace it.
