To get codes you need a code reader compatible to your ECU. Usually 1996 and up use an OBD2 system located underneath the dash somewhere. You connect your OBD2 reader to the connection point and start your diagnostic. It will then read back to you what codes the ECU is reporting. You then look up the codes online or through an autoshop and they can tell you what is causing you problems.

I have switched out the speed sensor in my 03 vibe and still getting the hesitation and no power what could be causing this ?

Have you had it checked for diagnostic trouble code's ? Why would you change a sensor without checking code's am viewing sensor data parameters on a professional scan tool ? If you don't know what i'm talking about ,your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

2004 mazda rx8 immobilizer system

Try first using the ignition key to unlock the system , in case this is locked.

If it is not this, then you can reset the whole system by unplugging battery cables for ten minutes.

Ensure you have your car stereo code if you decide to unplu the battery, as you will be asked for security code when you connect back the battery.

I recently changed both knock sensors and wiring harness on my 99 Lexus rx 300! I purchased the parts on ebay and they state (OEM PARTS) Check engine, P0330,

code p 0330 refers to knock sensor (KS)2 bank 2 ---circuit malfunction===causes wiring--KS---ECM
it is possible that in changing the harness there is a problem connection or the connection to ks2 is not correct ( not on properly)

My engine light came on has a code p2096 seems to idle little rough at idle

That code is a result of a bad O2 sensor located just below the exhaust header

BUT before you do that try to erase the error and see if it comes back if that same code comes back the you know its the O2 sensor

Good Luck!

My car came up with a P1150 code for my lexus rx 300. what does that mean?

Tests/Procedures: 1. With the sensor disconnected and the key on, check the voltage at the wire harness side of the connector. The Black wire should have 12 volts the Orange wire and the White wire should be approximately 3 volts.

2. Reconnect the sensor connector and check the voltage on the Black wire on start up. It should remain battery voltage. The Orange wire and the White wire should vary slightly in voltage from 3-3.3 volts but the sensors will not change much.

3. Install a new sensor. Potential Causes: Defective Air Fuel (A/F) Ratio Sensor
Tech Tips: This is a common issue with the air fuel ratio sensors. The firewall side will fail and the technician will install a new sensor and then a few days later a code for the other sensor will appear. Always replace these sensors as a pair.

The car doesn't have power when hit the gas pedal speed pick up really slow also have code of 171 sistem too lean on bank one, lexus 2000 rx 300

this code sets when air fuel ratio feedback is stable after engine warm up,and fuel trim is considerably in error on lean side; The signal from air fuel ratio sensor is approximatelyproportional to existing air-fuel ratio.

for this code suspect excessive lean condition, normal rangefor total trim is between -35% to +35%,DTC uses "two-trip detection Logic".

Check system for intake leaks, incorrect fuel pressure, plugged fuel injectors,O2 sensor or coolant sensor operation.

check air-fuel ratio sensors
to do it you need to check them with a good scanner tool.

also,check MAF sensor operation.

personally i would clean with the special spray for MAF sensor (you can get it from you autoparts store) and try a fuel injector cleaner before start spending money in shops.

hope this info can help you.

99 rx 300 run like ****

Have an exhaust shop check it - you probably have a worn out cat converter and or bad O2 sensor(s).

2000 RX 300. Code P1130. I have already replaced the mass air flow sensor on te top of the air intake. The missing stopped but I still have this code. I have cleared the code twice and it still comes back....

P1130 A/F Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1). Some possible trouble areas include: open or short in a/f sensor circuit, a/f sensor, air induction system (which it looks like you already checked), fuel pressure, fuel injectors, or your ECM (Engine control Module). I can send you steps to check these but i need your email address cause i can not post them on the internet do to copy right laws.
